It is. In most of the US (more so in red states) once you get arrested your life is public property. There's no concept of privacy for criminal suspects, because there's no real concept of privacy in US law. Rules vary by state and city but it's not all that unusual to see crime stories where they publish a mugshot of the accused person and their home address.
