Can anyone redpill on the Fall of the Roman Empire?

I heard it was caused due out of control sexual hedonism. Are we gonna see the same thing in our western society today?

It was caused by the empire's size. Such a country was difficult to maintain and Rome did not give up far flung territories to secure valuable ones. At the same time there was a rising tide of barbarians being pushed into europe by more barbarians in asia.

No it was the carelessness and incapability of the Roman elite. During the Republican period they basically stopped giving a shit about Roman culture, Roman traditions, Roman history, and started waging economic war against the Roman people. They would launch wars so young upstart sons of Roman patricians could gain honors at the expense of thousands of Roman citizensโ€™ lives. Then Julius Caesar and Octavian Caesar Augustus more or less restored it with a populist mandate. Then, you had good emperors and bad emperors after that but the elite in general continued to decline. They lost interest in military service, got increasingly decadent. In fact, much of the Roman elite in the imperial era became increasingly constitute by competent members of the lower classes and foreigners who rose up to positions of prominence , mostly through the military. So without that backbone to keep Rome the great civilization it was, Roman civilization slowly declined, and then it went through drastic reforms like those of Constantine, splits, etc. until they were just shadows of their former selves and people began living post-industrial lives in the empire until all that was left to do was pick apart what remained of the the Roman civilization, its great buildings, its offices, everything and all that was left is the church which is where civilization existed and found refuge between the Fall of Rome and the rise of Charlemagne.

there were a lot of factors that led to the fall of the WRE. Immigration played a role, welfare played a role, corruption of the emperors, religion, and a whole lot more.
The weaker the state became, the more the foreign invaders were able to successfully invade and extort heavy ransoms out of the Romans. They came to be ruled by the very same barbarians they had once subjugated.

There is a billion reasons, Anon. And all of them hold some credit. Pic related is an important one.

>first, Rome had to fall because no one was willing to fight for it anymore

By the end of the roman empire, it had become an abusive, incompetent and authoritarian regime that demanded too much of its decreasing number of citizens while providing ever less. You have awful emperors like Theodosius telling his army of illegal immigrants (foederati) to sack a roman city made of roman citizens (Thessalonika) because they killed a goth local commander who was acting like a piece of shit towards roman people.

The military was struggling to even exist. Romans were sign-tapping on a never seen scale. Immigrants were all they had, and these immigrants were not loyal to Rome at all and saw it as a job opportunity. These immigrant soldiers had stronger ties to their ethnicities and groups than to Rome, and began using Rome to advance the interests of their own people. Per example, the ROMAN senate naming Avitus the new emperor because Avitus was liked by the goths who had illegally settled in southern France.

At the same time that ever less people wanted to fight for Rome, it needed people willing to fight for it the most because they were suffering an onslaught of barbarian invasions after 406 AD all across the european borders.

Ultimately, Rome had become so awful to its own citizens, the citizens were so cynical of it, and the elites were so indifferent to how their nation had been perverted by the immigrants and were unwilling to bend the knee even as the nation was being constantly invaded.

This is the first and primary reason why Rome fell. NO ONE who thought it was worth protecting had power, and those who had power didn't think it was worth protecting.

So how did we get to this point where Rome is absolutely incompetent, run by immigrants who have nothing to do with Rome and are more interested in the advancement of their own tribes?

We need to go back in time. When people speak of the fall of the USA in the 2020s and 2030s, they'll need to also go back a century earlier to 1913 and the founding of the Fed.

>ineffective succession laws
Rome had major problems with succession laws, which led to frequent civil wars. The last one of these succession-related civil wars was very important because in order to win it, Emperor Theodosius I had to enlist goth soldiers led by Alaric (who'd proceed to sack Rome in the future), which furthered the problem with the rising power of immigrants. This was also the last hurrah of non-christian Rome, since the christian Theodosius I defeated a pagan-friendly usurper Emperor Eugenius in the Battle of the Frigidus River.

Then, with the goths becoming so important for the romans, the episode of Thessalonika happened where the romans chimped out at the goths of peace and Emperor Theodosius I ordered GOTHS to kill roman citizens.

Then, to settle future succession, Theodosius set as successor his two sons, one to rule the Western Roman Empire (Honorius, who was likely either mentally handicapped or so corrupt that he wasn't even worth killing) and the other the Eastern.

Ironically, Theodosius I was probably the worst roman emperor of all time because he began the trend of Rome not being for the romans. Then he proceed to name as successor a dude who was completely unfit for the job.

It was mainly the apathy of the actual white roman populace. The problem is that Rome where ever they conquered they also made that population part of their empire. Now you have an overexpanded empire that is multi-racial and multicultural so there was nothing that made it inheritly Roman anymore. Of course the white Roman citizens saw this and stopped giving a shit not caring if Rome fell or not because it wasn't their homeland anymore nor did it reflect their interests. Sounds kind of like what is going on today throughout Western civilization.

I do recommend anyone interested to go read on Tom Holland. If you want the primary sources, there is actually a lot before things really go to hell after Rome is sacked the second time.

>ineffective monetary policy
Now, Rome had a major inflationary problem. Especially during succession civil wars, they'd just print so much coin that the content in gold of those coins began ever decreasing.

There were only 2 attempts to remedy the inflation problem:

- Emperor Domitian around the year 90 fixed inflation through a rigorous austerity program, which led to him being labelled a tyrant and a monster by the deep state. He was actually succesful, and his fiscal / monetary program actually led to a string of very good emperors known as the four good emperors period.

- Emperor Diocletian around the year 284. After domitian reforms and the four good emperors, Commodus failed to name a successor, which led to the bloodiest civil war in roman history and the victory of Severus, who preferred to use inflation to finance his government (which became a trend). This weakened the romans so much that their empire almost fell in the 3rd Century Crisis before a miraculous reunification under Aurelian and his successors (including Diocletian).

Diocletian knew the problem was not having gold in the currency, so he created a new currency that was 100% gold. But he hated inflation and thought the greedy merchants were behind it, so he turned Rome into the closest thing to a socialist nation. Price controls, people were locked in their professions, central planning, you name it. Diocletian's reforms turned romans into serfs, turned the emperor into Domus (how slaves are supposed to call their master), and in the end, expanded inequality and made people ressentful of the empire.

Good post.

The Fall of the Roman Empire is typical of the fall of all White Empires throughout all of history.
The 'Four Horseman of the Apocalypse' demonstrate the 4 stages of the lifecycle of an empire.

1 Conquest: White horse, Rider carrying a bow.
(The bow represents the reach the Empire has, conquering everything within its grasp. The Empires of Assyria, Babylon, Persia and Medea, and Greece only ever conquered the territory of White tribes around the Mesopotamian basin and Mediterranean.
But the Empires of Egypt, Rome, the European Empires of the Age of Exploration, and the American Empire, they also conquered non-White tribes {beasts of the field} and inevitably, these Empires racemixed with the beasts.)
>>Egypt conquered blacks of Ethiopia and intermixed with them, thus dooming their empire. {Ethiopia use to be White, previously called the 'Land of Kush' and wascreated by the Kushites, sons of CHam.}

2 War: Red horse, Rider wields a sword.
(The sword represents the constant warfare the Empire requires to 'keep the peace' within the lands of the empire. Each prince, vassal, and petty king will eagerly rebel against the emperor if they think they can get away with it, so the Emperor must squash each rebellion in turn.)

>Oy vey! We will finally have our revenge on the romans, on the latinos!
Everything else you read on this thread is a christcuck fiction of the events. It wouldn't bold well for the christcuck if they were expose as the real reason for the fall even when they spend all their time afterwards trying to larp as romans despite having no relation with Rome besides the destruction of said place.
And Is not even something deniable, the last emperor literally divided the decadent empire in half after converting to christkikery, basically 16 centuries ago there was a Milei/Trump around that sell everything to the kikes.

3 Famine: Black horse, Rider holds a pair of scales, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not damage the oil and the wine".
(The scales represents inflation, where daily wages cannot supply daily bread, and thus the people of the Empire go into debt and thus debt slavery.)
>>(The oil and wine represent the luxuries of the elites that are untouched by the economic troubles. The American government does nothing to sooth the economic troubles, only to heighten them, to turn Whites into a new slave class.)

4 Death: Pale horse, the Rider is followed by Hades, " They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth."
(The death of the Empire is always inevitable. And with the death throes of the Empire, many die in famine and plague and war. The old systems of the Empire that kept everything running now fall apart finally. The conquerors are derived from those that the Empire previously conquered, who in turn The old riches of the Empire are looted.)

They were mostly Italian for the entirety of Romeโ€™s history. As time went on they came more and more from Romeโ€™s more important provinces and more German. But they were never not largely Italians. It is important to note however that business elite and other non-political, non-civic, non-military elites became less and less important from the dawn of the empire onward. The Late Republic was characterized by a subordination in some sense to Roman and even foreign business interests and concerns for wealth and social prestige. With Augustus, that ends and Romeโ€™s elite IS now a political-military elite.

They didn't allow a legal rule of succession to be established, so everyone was always killing the Emperor and calling themselves Emperor, so each Emperor spent most of his time guarding against machinations and appointing incompetent people to administrative positions to avoid any threats, instead of doing things to help the empire. Not a recipe for success and stability.

Now, I won't write any further because this takes a lot of time. But I have to elaborate on the:

>did christianity lead to the fall of Rome?

Here are arguments against Christianity dooming Rome:
>Rome had a 2nd golden age after Constantinus I legalized Christianity in the edicts of Milan. So people who say christianity doomed Rome needed to cope with the time distance between Rome's fall and the legalization of christianity
>the Catholic Church was mostly a safeheaven for influential politicians to escape the nightmare dangerous political / military career of Rome. This led to some political leadership that was actually competent Per example, Pope Leo was instrumental in convincing the Huns to not sack Rome. But then he was backstabbed and assassinated by an immigrant background general Ricimer (who was christian, by the way)

Here are the arguments FOR christianity dooming Rome:
>weakening roman identity. Rome had am idea of 'the farther from the Mediterranean, the more likely you are a barbarian'. Christianity (which the goths quickly realize) was accepting of all willing to baptize. Alaric, the man who sacked Rome, was not a pagan, but a christian
>dividing romans and antagonizing those who still were pagan. Theodosius was blackmailed by a bishop into making all forms of paganism illegal and put pagan temples to the torch, which eventually rallied the romans against the government and gave Eugenius power to rally against Theodosius in the Frigidus river war. Paganism was part of Rome's foundation and identity (and it excluded the barbarians). Christianity was willing to accept the barbarians

Christianity's good will was exploited by barbarians to infiltrate roman society at the same time that it was weaponized by the elites to further bully their population.

Sadly, I'll give you this: the fanaticism for christianity (like the modern cult of diversity and inclusion, including civic nationalism) did no favors to Rome.

Sangarius Bridge Drawing of Triumphal Arch by Leon de Laborde 1838 Arch built 559 to 562
By the late empire a corrupt ruling class of emperors and senators thought they could ally with a destructive bunch of foreigners to keep themselves in power which the Roman citizens watched helplessly as everything collapse around them.

A parallel to this is happening in New York where the Indian/muslim/african/communist Zohran Mamdani is fighting with the ruling jewish kleptocracy.

Zohran (aka CEO of Foreign Non-American Shitstain Inc.) versus Big Rich Jew (aka the Eternal Enemy Inc.), is simply the first of many high-profile โ€œPost-Americaโ€ political battles to come, where no actual Americans are or will be represented or involved. Itโ€™s a contest between two opposing teams of vultures, squabbling over who will get first dibs on picking the corpse of America clean.

Hear me, you wrangling pirates! who now fall out
In sharing that which you have filched from me!
โ€” Richard III, I.3

In other words, a gang of forever hostile, hate-filled, racist, scheming Jews. As opposed to Mamdani, who represents no New Yorkers (there are none left, just shitstain invaders), and certainly no Americans, and definitely no white people (aka, Americans), and merely proposes a different scheme backed by a different gang of vultures, to steal stuff on behalf of his shit-colored global-South foreign intruders who have no relationship to the country once known as America, before the Jews destroyed it with immigrants.

Exactly the same as the fall of the Roman Empire

Global warming destroyed their agriculture and population, forcing them to let in barbarians (ancestors of modern Europeans) into the Empire to solve the manpower shortage problem. Problem got worse, but the government solved in in the most retarded way possible by raising taxes, making jobs hereditary, and disallowing travel, effectively turning average people into slaves.

Revenue decreased because Rome had no more lands to invade. Without loot to pay for its army, Rome resorted to printing more coins and debasing its currency until it became Weimar tier worthless. The Roman elite were engaging in degeneracy while the population was suffering. People go so sick of it all that they opened the gates for the invading barbarians.
