Does anyone else feel bad for Northern Italians? They are basically white nordic people, but because of geography they are stuck with brown meds. That simply isn't fair.

How horrible they have to live in the picturesque Italian countryside with cool old buildings and the best food in Europe and their northern skyline is forever blighted by the forested slopes of the Alps. Can you imagine anything worse than having to look at this awful vista as you dine at a restaurant in the balmy Mediterranean evening, serenaded by live music? In the USA and all other Anglo founded countries, northern italian immigrants were always considered white, like the french. The first italian americans were from Venice. Southern italians and greeks were considered wogs.
