Why not live within your means? Why do so many Americans buy $50k trucks and SUVs when you can get a second hand hatchback for $5k? Why do they eat out and her ubereats 5x a week when you can cook at home? Why do they get a daily $10 Starbucks instead of making a coffee in a travel cup for 10 cents?

It's built into the monetary system. As soon as the debt stops expanding, the system collapses. The entire banking system is the largest Ponzi scheme of all time.

Only recently learned it's normal to hold so much debt and life right near the edge of affordability. Coming from a very poor background I cannot understand why one would tempt fate like that.

Mortgages are the best kind of debt because you're paying off an appreciating asset (real estate) that becomes a major source of personal wealth.

Student loan debt is for retards, and credit card debt is for giga retards.

every word of that is a lie

only 12% of people in the US have student loans and the average of those borrower's debts is $38k. The below average Americans borrowed money. The average American household has $9K in the bank
The average mortgage in the US is $252k
but again that is only borrowers who owe money, not the average American.
40% of homeowners in the United States are mortgage-free, the highest level seen in the past 13 years

A lot of people know that they are going to burn in hell. This short life on earth is all they have before climate change cooks them for eternity. They have nightmares about their future.
Those of us that are not going to hell, understand that this life is short, we aren't greedy. We don't have nightmare about our flesh melting, our dreams are of paradise.

Can't save everyone, can't force people to change, they have free will.

When Jesus caught his followers stealing from a farm, he made them work to pay off the debt. If you reap what you do not sow, you enter into another man's debt, and no debtor goes to heaven. Don't steal, and don't borrow more than you can pay.

Be good and God gives you a mansion in his gated community.

Because life here is fucking miserable and the ONLY relief offered is consumer spending. We have no family, no community, no healthcare, poisoned food, no home, and no hope. America is the most miserable place to live on Earth. We live in a country controlled by billion dollar corporations who force us to eat poisoned food and control every aspect of our lives. Everything is taxed again and again and exactly $0 goes back to the people. It's funneled to billion dollar corporations and corrupt politicians.

I used to think like you all until I realized my coworkers making bad decisions with their money were being rewarded for it. E.g. borrowing from their 401k to make a down payment on a house, covid happening, and then their house doubling in value. Any amount of money I saved up; ~20k/year, the houses would increase in value that much. I could have been a home owner if I was more retarded.

It's because the real rate of inflation is much higher than the government numbers. If you are borrowing at 5% and the real rate of inflation is 10%, you're winning. Of course this is if you're using the money to invest in productive assets and not some spinning rims like some dumb ape. Also a lot of people with no better prospects are debt maxxing because credit card debt is written off through bankruptcy, so many just don't care.

2. it's not optional if you want to function
3. americans are not rich and can't afford anything without debt
4. americans have been brainwashed by the jew and noble anglos to equate "buy" with "loan" : I bought a house or I bought a car means I got a loan for said asset. It's fucked, We're cooked.

Probably Denmark. They complain about high taxes but our taxes here are just as high and we get NOTHING in return. People think our taxes are low because of our low Federal tax rate, but the same money is taxed again and again and again and again at every opportunity, so our real tax rate his super high.

I think it’s more likely that the average person has zero knowledge of the math behind debt/interest. You can’t blame them, though; if the average person came out of school knowing about personal finance, jews would find it a lot less lucrative.

Debt allows some in-group people to get out-group people to work for them for free. If the in-group people have extra control they'll push that slider to 11 obviously.

This. It's actually better than buying in cash most of the time because the long-term return on investing will be higher than the interest paid on a mortgage.
