>>511028583I have been a classroom teacher for 15 years.
The people who argue against home-schooling have no idea what classrooms in 2025 are like.
>English class = put student on computer to practice the district-mandated software>Science class = put student on computer to practice the district-mandated software>Math class = put student on computer to practice the district-mandated software>Social studies class = put student on computer to practice the district-mandated software>Foreign language class = put student on computer to practice the district-mandated softwareThe actual "teaching" portion at schools is almost non-existent anymore. A ~55 minute class will have maybe 20 minutes of direct instruction. The rest of the time is kids staring at Chromebook screens and using AI to cheat on whatever program they're working on.
The only classes with any hands-on practice are PE and music. PE class is mixed gender, full of people with limited athletic ability, and literally no one wants to exert effort in class to the point that they'll break a sweat. And most schools have cut music classes to the bare minimum where the capable students are stuck with the low IQ beginners.
Home-school your kids - put them on the same software that the schools are using, and put them in real sports so that they can socialize and stay in shape.
