My Dad's friend's brother was walking home from his brother's house (they lived nearby each other) one evening after playing chess. A woman came out of a house and ran down the street screaming, runninga t him. He's like wtf? She jumps on him and starts hitting him, yelling "He's attacking me, he's trying to rape me!" The cops are called and show up like shockingly fast (must have just been around the corner) and handcuff him, take him to jail. He is so confused he's bewildered. Spends night in jail and posts bail next morning. Has to spend next years fighting in court, between lawyer/court fees and bad reputation at university, he drops out, losses his job, has to sell his car and moves in with this brother. Two years later he's found not guilty. He lost nearly everything, and some people still thought he was a rapist. He didn't know the woman nor did he do anything to her. Nothing happened to her, of course. He actually got back into uni a couple years later and got a PhD in mathematics, teaching at a university now. The story is so absurd it falls into 'the truth is stranger than fiction' genre, and many people don't even believe the story.

Also, a friend of mine slept with a woman at college, the next morning the cops showed up and she said he rapped her. The cops didn't even press charges or anything, chalking it up as a misunderstanding after even HER friends defended my friend. But just having cop cars at his house plus rape accusation ruined his reputation to this day.

If any of my friends were accused of rape, I know them well enough to know they wouldn't do it or quickly find inconsistencies in the story that prove my friend is innocent. Innocence is extremely easy to prove when there is 0 contact between the accused and the "victim".
Just ask her *when* it happened and she'll quickly spout some made up time, and you can just demonstrate your friend's perfect alibi.
