First, there is no way to be elected president or any other position with any power without the deep state or whoever having kompromat on you which they can use to control you.

Second, there is no political way to fix the US. The deep state, donor class and intelligence agencies are simply too strong for even someone with a mandate from the people to go up against. Everyone 180s as soon as they get to Washington because of it.

Trump is basically all anyone can do. Try to make deals with these people to move things in the right direction, but find yourself constantly stabbed in the back or undermined or these people forcing you to go another way.

Agree to a degree, best a politician can hope for is setup the conditions to allow a non-political change to happen.

#1 priority is securing ABSOLUTE freedom of speech. Crack down heavily on any institution that receives any public subsidies that restricts opinion.
Make it illegal to fire anyone on the basis of personal political views or activity if done outside work hours. Most importantly enforce anti-trust laws for tech, telecom, media, etc. companies which hold monopolies on virtually all modern human communication.

All of this is 100% legal as it's president's job to preserve constitution. Given enough time and unrestricted opinion, many of these problems will begin to sort themselves out as uncensored info and opinions become widespread.
