Don't get me wrong, the trades can be good, honest, well-paying work, and many of the criticisms of college are 100% on-point. But, the conservative push for the trades has undoubtedly curbed the potential of a lot of young right-wing men. I myself fell for the "college is gay" grift when I was younger and regret it.
