So how are your parents coping with the reality that you’re going to have to live with them forever and that their bloodline will end with them? I never tried. My brother is working a min wage job with a girlfriend who got 7 tattoos, takes antidepressants and birth control and claims to be allergic to the sun and of course doesn’t work she is 20 and tolerable but he’s pay dearly when she hits 30, and my other brother went into the trades become a electrician and just works 12 hour days literally everyday to survive and my mom thinks a woman will magically appear before him sent down by god one day or “send one his way somehow”. He is 34 his only options are single mothers at this point. My mom outright delusional about it she think we’ll magically have grandkids somehow one day despite the odds increasingly being against it especially after the piss poor example of a woman she set for us.

I'm a big guy and my parents are very supportive. They go against the boomer fold and are happy to let me live there for as long as I want and use the family business to fill any CV gaps and massively inflate my job there. Only through these means I've been able to carve out a life on my own and not just mcjob until I die of poverty. Same here for me but in Italy IG, many boomer parents know that the housing market is fucked up, my parents infact told me that I can stay until I can pay for a house, next year i'l lstart seraching beacuse I still have 18 months to pay for my car, after that i'll go and take a house.
I'm not a slob, i work in the family business and making my CV, I think I don't wanna take the business (in italy beign a freelancer it's a real pain) so I think after my father retire I suppose I'll move to a company. I help at home by both bringing money and doing chores, I can cook and clean no problem, I have a GF who's in the same situation as me.
Now i'm studying to get a higher degree and pay (Well I admit that it's 2 weeks i'm not touching a university book because I have too much stuff to work and worry, can't wait for the fucking summer leave I accumulated 1 month of leave I wanna use it all)
