When you book a ride they show you the driver, you can cancel on them for free within a 2 minute window.

When you're a rider you just send out a mass signal that you want to be picked up and any driver can accept it. I guess if people you don't want to ride with keep accepting your requests, it would get annoying as fuck constantly canceling rides.

My issue with this is that they should just go all the way than. If you want to allow women to only be able to pick other women, then men should be allowed to only pick other men if they want to.

I got to ride in some neat cars though. I ride in a Tesla for the first time in an Uber.

If you get Uber-Lux or Uber Black, you can get picked up in a Mercedes, a Bentley, a Porsche, etc.

Obviously the luxury one is more expensive, but if you're going to a play, or formal event downtown, it feels pretty cool stepping out of a Porsche in a suit.

Another annoying Uber thing is how you rate people.

The driver can't see how much you tipped until the end of the month when they get paid and your name is removed from the receipt. So, when you pay $15 for a quick trip, they can't see if you gave them nothing, or $5+. It makes the situation kind of awkward, because they might think you're not going to tip them for whatever reason and they'll just rate you lower.

I've been on about 10 - 15 uber rides and I've given them all 5 stars. My rating is 4.8 so a couple of them face me 4 stars instead of 5 for some reason.
