Every year more and more people ae checking out of society asking "What is there to live for?" taking care of your house? fixing your car? going to work?

WHAT IS THE POINT

We're animals who are evolutionarily compelled to breed. Siring offspring is pretty much the only concrete "point" to our existence then, inasmuch as we serve to thereby propagate our species. If you're asking for a point in propagating itself, there isn't one beyond biological necessity. God's programming ought to be enough. There's a reason mystics like Hermes Trismegistus thought that those who died childless would be tortured by demons in the afterlife for that fact.

In most cases, working hard will not make you be wealthier than your parents were when they made you. My parents were never rich, not even close, but if I had a job, I'd be poorer than they were for the rest of my life.

in the US my dad was able to eventually became a national sales manager in his 40s without ever going to college. When he was 23 he was already managing 5 people under him back in the 70s, again, only on a high school education.

A lot of these opportunities are gone because you are expected to pay for a degree first by default before hoping to land a big job

Ignore flag, American on vacation. My father had a fully paid off house by the time he was 28, working a job he got from a newspaper. Where he lived, one of the interview questions was whether he was catholic or Protestant.

At the age of 25 you should have children already, and as a good family man, you then re-live your youth through their eyes and experiences. And then you do the same with your grandchildren. And then you die, having lived your entire life with a direct connection to youth and vitality.
Or you can be a middle manager for Globocorp forever.
This is what they took from you.
