It's written like the disclaimer on a bottle of pills, but those things can happen to the elderly or otherwise weak and compromised, which God knows enough of Americans are. I get it man, ha-ha euros and the ACs, but if you actually slam into a 20 degree temp drop it is not a pleasant experience at all. That doesn't mean nobody should use ACs though.

I have one but i barely use it. If i use it, i leave the room while its blowing air.
There are some very real lung disseases that the a/c can cause, mostly from stale water inside the unit that then gets released into the room with the air.

A/C does actually harm your body's normal adjustment to summertime temperatures. Without A/C you get acclimated fairly quickly. With A/C it never happens. It also encourages you to keep windows closed which causes all sorts of nasty chemicals that off gas from carpet, couches, and construction materials to build up in the air within the home.

Skill issue. You have to be a fucking faggot to think "oh no, let's all suffer in summer because of some boomers"
> but if you actually slam into a 20 degree temp drop it is not a pleasant experience
It is when summer is 40ΒΊC, in northern Europe people probably won't be doing that, also is not for long period of times since AA units turn themselves off once the desired temperature is reached; managing the heating function in a healthy way can be tricky in winter, I will totally give you that.

You would think that were more the case actually yeah, the greens making a big stink about it. That does happen but not as much as you would expect, I suppose cause most greens love their technocapitalist comfort toys at the end of the day. Mostly it's just that the majority of europe is pretty temperate and there's no point in installing such a device for the few days or weeks where it's kinda hot, and the southern regions already own way more ACs than the average. The whole debate probably came back because global warming blah blah blah doom is coming, combined with the burgers loving to chuckle at what they think are stereotypes.

I work in a garage and according to the EPA or whatever I shouldn't be using the fan in temperatures above 90Β° especially with the humidity. It's been like 60% humidity and over 90Β° every day. If I don't use the fan I definitely overheat a lot quicker. Using the fan it's much more tolerable. Now I can understand how a fan would maybe at 110Β° with like 70 or more percent humidity but that sounds like pure death anyways no matter what you do. Bullshit I'm going to continue to use my fan. If either one of you sons of bitches was in the heat that I have to deal with on a daily basis like I said before 90 plus degrees with 60% or more humidity, you would upon entering the room with air conditioning sweet talk it and caress it's lovely curves. Then you would compliment it. You might even get freaky with it. I know I do. Air conditioning loves it when you just lay the pipe right on top of it. Well I mean it's not fake at some point things become like convection oven. But at that point it doesn't matter much what the humidity is in relation to the temperature. If you don't get to AC or cooler area you will die anyways. Whether that death comes in 10 minutes or an hour doesn't really matter. But I sure wouldn't want to be in 110Β° with 100% humidity and no wind. I'll take the wind in that scenario even if it does cook me faster at least I'll feel cooler. And I tell you what the older you get the harder it is to deal with heat and cold. When I was younger shit didn't bother me.

To be fair, I live in central Floridon't and I've had the experience of walking into an air-conditioned store in the summer and having the a/c hit me like I'd run into a wall, stopping me in place and causing me to shudder from the sudden chill, feeling a sort of internal collapse of my strength. But I don't think 15 degrees difference would do it, and it's usually because I was dying from heat outside. It only takes a few seconds to get over it.
I used to work as a line cook in my early 20s and would walk to work through the Texas summer sun, nearly giving myself heat stroke, and go into the walk-in freezer once I got there just to try to revive myself and have the strength to get through my shift. If I didn't, the heat made me lose my hand dexterity and I'd drop things, fumble around, and fuck up a lot.
Overheating is a much bigger hazard than the "thermal shock" they're talking about.

>""Heat makes us sick and kills us" – this is one of the messages that the Spanish government wants journalists, health professionals and civil servants to pass on to the population. With the justification of protecting citizens, the new guide of the Observatory on Health and Climate Change explicitly proposes a strategy based on emotional and psychological impact to generate a perception of crisis and not of a seasonal phenomenon. It is recommended, for example, not to show pleasant images, such as terraces or beaches and, on the contrary, heat to be associated with negative emotions, such as people in suffering or hospitals. The document also suggests several "effective" strategies such as alternating styles (imposing and suggestive) and adapting the narrative to the audience (ideological preferences or what it calls the level of "belief in climate change").

In Korean mythology, Platypus are the heralds of the end time when the ocean rises up and smothers the world. This is due to their nature of being both Aquatic and mammalian, as that is the state that humanity must achieve to survive. However, kind of like Voldemort, they avoid stating their name as it is considered bad luck. This also ties into why Koreans are afraid to leave fans on while they sleep, since fans make a sound similar to that of a Platypus.

Most people everywhere have magical thinking, especially when it comes to modern technology. The meme simply exists in their minds that the fan is somehow depleting oxygen in the room when it functions, and they don't and likely can't possibly have the understanding of the physical processes at play to understand it doesn't. Even most people who guffaw and say "no it doesn't" couldn't really satisfactorily explain why, they're just repeating their own magical thinking worldview mantra back. In the grand scheme of things, believing fans can suffocate you is pretty benign, the most it can do is make you kinda hot at night, especially compared to mutt magical thinking, like niggers are human, or kikes are god's chosen people, you know, ideas that are getting Whites genocided globally and plunging the entire planet into pre-sapient darkness. The log in your own eye, and all that.

Basically France runs state-funded anti-AC propaganda because their country has virtually no access to the natural resources necessary to produce power.

They import their coal
They import their oil and natural gas
They import their uranium.

They are totally dependent on these imports and their trading partners to keep the lights on, and this makes them very vulnerable geopolitically, and also makes electricity very expensive for them. Thus they have a desperate need to manipulate their populace into cutting down electricity usage purely to alleviate the resource strain.

The French Army has been in combat throughout Africa almost without pause since the 50s, entirely for the sake of keeping control over uranium mines on the continent that don't rely on Russia or the anglosphere's good graces.

Just fyi those hoses carry refrigerant not air. The warm refrigerant is sent outside where it is compressed (causing it to heat up) and then that heat is dumped through the thin veins on the unit. Then the refrigerant is decompressed which makes it cold and it's sent inside where air is passed over it. Cooling the air.

Did you also realize that most indoor spaces keep their air set at around 75Β°F (24C) during this same time. Americans in these cities deal with this temp swing daily for months, including the elderly and whatever else, and I have yet to hear about temp swing symptoms. It's only heat related injuries, and with that said... if temp swings are so dangerous, why is the medical experts focus on rapid cooling during hyperthermia? They never recommend gradual cooling in order to prevent injury.

This phenomenon usually only happens in hot enclosed spaces or areas like India. It wasn't pleasant to go to and from the ice cream freezer (-17C) to the outside (38C) but I obviously didn't die from it and that's the biggest extreme most anyone would experience in any context. Most homes are kept at 20C-25C, which is quite pleasant to enter into after being outside. Most of the country is rarely at 38C anyway. The low 30s is more typical of summer except on the hottest days.

Weird shit starts happening at that temp. Your regular smartphone will shut off at 40 degrees to preserve the battery. If you run the heaters on the car, it makes no difference for you in the driver's seat vs not having them on. Running the heater is a good little trick to increase the cooling capacity of the engine btw.

The temperature went down to 34 degrees C at 4am.

Cold burns more calories to maintain body temperature.
Heat results in less NEAT.

when will the environment and the Pedophile Communists of the E.U.S.S.R. start to cry ?

Well yeah, thats true tho.
If its 35c outside, dont cool it at 19c.
Thats a good way to, at least, get sick.

What you consider "normal" summer temperatures would be a very mild summer to us. You guys cry when it gets in the 30s in the summer, but our temps can hit 40 with very high humidity.

They think the fan blows air away and you suffocate. The origin to my knowledge was from finding dead people with fans left on.

Asians love this kinda of retard logic btw in china they think freezing food is bad because cold bad in chinese mysticism and thats why they use wetmarkets so much and spread disease constantly. Also refuse to use dryers and use hanging lines in their filthy air pollution because 'sun good'. Japan also does this with completely ineffective uv lamps for dishcleaners and bathrooms

Nice to have some real heat for once Bruce.

I reckon 11/12ths of not wanting AC here is because it is so cold so much of the year having heat is a luxury. Like visiting Ayers Rock. Why would I want to be cold?

The fucking UK doesn't get nearly as hot or nearly as cold as most of the US. You simply do not have the temperature extremes that we do. Where I live is right in the middle of the East Coast and temps in the winter can hit -20 Celsius and in the summer it can hit 40c with high humidity.

The reason people get sick from 'cold' ie in winter is because of the humidity allowing virus particles to stay airborne longer.

Granted theres other reasons like literal hypothermia downregulating your metabolism and such but not relevant to AC

We definitely don't need A/C for that reason. The were a few hot days last month (never hot enought to need a fan) and yestersay evening I put a sweater on in the house.

No central heating last winter managed fine with one small wood stove burning off my scrap wood (free).

Bantz aside, I honestly think it's a matter of habit.
As a spaghetti nigger, It's not like I don't use ACs at all: when temps are scorching hot I like to put mine at 24C, and as long as the air is not blasting on top of me, things are peachy

Yet, I work in an office and lost count of the times i got neck/head aches because of the AC pointed full power right on my fucking shoulders.

I'm a fit guy and I genuinely don't know if it's my body reacting or just my mind playing subtle yet powerful games to me, but I'm just not used to it. I guess if you instead grow up accustomed with ACs since childhood you'll feel nothing like this, but even before I found out about this USA vs EUROPE Air Conditioning feud, the head splitting headaches were very, very real.

Pic related. It's the nigger right on top of me.
