I'll believe it when H1B visas are set to zero and existing ones aren't renewed. Trump came out in 2015 and said he was against the H1B visa. It was one of his earliest policy announcements when running for the Republican nomination. He's flip flopped at least a dozen times since then.
This is more talk to reduce the heat from his deal to give India unlimited labor access to the US market. Make no mistake, his promises from a decade ago are not only unfulfilled but he's done the exact opposite. Trump will never stop the flow of Indians to his business friends. He will however make pronouncements about things he might, maybe, do someday, when the timing is just right, which it never is.
