When I was a child I used to wonder what it was like to live in South Korea or Taiwan where right next to you there was a totalitarian shit hole broadcasting propaganda in your own language. How it was possible that in a neighboring country with your same culture, same language, people could be so brainwashed and the government could get away with such iron fisted control.
Since I grew up, I don't have to wonder anymore.
