NATO soldiers paid to take off their uniform sign a contract, go to Ukraine, put back on their uniform (donated), get back in their old F-16 (also donated) and fly. They then are able to fly to NATO airbases in Poland, Romania and the baltics to hide from Russian missiles and drones.

Those aren't remotely similar, also the US started Vietnam. A more fair comparison would be like if the USSR had pilots flying combat missions in Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis but that's still not fair because the US basically started that one by putting missiles in Turkey first and the USSR no longer exists.
