I’ve been thinking about how the GOP can try to salvage this situation.
It’s fucking bad man, them shutting down congress to prevent an Epstein vote after they almost unanimously vote against releasing the files is, bar none, the worst optics I have ever seen in my life.
They have only one play to possibly save themselves:
>invoke the 25th
>do not say it’s because of the Epstein files, say it’s because they found proof of dementia
>release the files without redactions
>play ignorance and blame Bondi for being complicit in hiding the files

We have all but 11 republicans on record voting to not release the Epstein files and just today a GOP congressman admitted they shut down congress early to give Trump some “cover” over this
