What do we do about boomers? It feels like the dynamic has completely shifted and all of Western society is now stuck "raising" a bunch of overgrown toddlers to their deathbeds.

Boomer became nearly explosively violent over feeling he was being gaslit about something that happened in the recent past, when the reality was the opposite, the memory decayed from "spotty at best" to: "Left Hemisphere is remembering complete false realities into existence" and then getting angry when shown proofs that if things are as you say regarding the utensils, then how is it that they're still unopened in the plastic, either someone put them back in there, or your brain is collapsing false realities into existence which were wrong, to smooth over a memory that should be reporting for duty but isn't.

And a mollycoddling wife that apparently gets a hard on saying yes to endless contradictions. And that making the target even madder, you're not correcting me on the ABC, you're patronizing me! Then it's back to you're gaslighting me.

Sir, the engineer in the room can diagnose your problem, but you're not going to like it. Your short term memory has decayed from "full of holes" to: "hours, days, and weeks are missing, that's not gaslighting because I care about you and need you to handle the fact that you're not able to remember what happened yesterday or last week or last month year decade etc. And that if someone is telling you something you remember otherwise, then the culprit can't automatically be assumed to be gaslighting.

And you getting angry when shown proof of your mis-remembering, only proves you're a sociopathic narccisist, and perhaps the most insufferable people to ever live, since egypt.

My boomer parents have each been remarried 3x. With their new spouses, on one side you have them obsessed with hospitals. They practically live there. Days off are consumed by occupied by constant medical attention. On the other side you have the worst sports fanatics possible. They will attend high school girls softball games of schools they never went to and don’t know anyone at. All free time is dedicated to watching sports on tv or attending any random sporting event, no matter how trivial. Oh and sports related travel to post their Facebook friends that they are the biggest sports all fans. But not like the World Series or the Super Bowl, too cheap for that. I don’t know who’s worse, the hospital people or the sports people.
