If you make 30,000, paying a 300,000 dollar house off in 30 years would be possible, but..most loans are not secure and as inflation increases, the debt should be decreasing, instead we have banks giving out bad loans to their friends and never repaying it back, so someone has to pay for that and usually that's everyone else, do it on a mass scale and you get what's happening today. The real issue is the psychological impact which hyperinflation has. In hyperinflation, people go into survival mode. They do not build factories or study complex skills, instead they focus on short term hoarding. The most obvious example is no one will save up a money which is constantly losing value. If no one saves up a money, it means among other things that no one will buy expensive goods such as capital. No one is going to save up the money to buy a clothing factory. Communities will never stockpile wealth. The shortsighted interests of the money managers who created this situation are alike to those of a war time government that issues paper currency ad infinitum to finance military expenditures. In the short term it is deemed necessary, but even over the course of a few years it wrecks the whole economy. And we have been doing this for more than a century. We will never have a successful industrial society without a stable means of exchange. Capitalism cannot function without a stable means of exchange.

All governments engage in fiat currency in times of emergency. What has marked the time period since the early 1900s and especially since ww2 has been a permanent state of fiat currency. Since ww2 we have been in a state of infinite money creation by the government. This is like hyperinflation a la Weimar or Zimbabwe, but it is done at a slow enough rate that people might not notice. But the effects are the same. Imagine living in a hyperinflationary state such as weimar germany. It puts people into panic mode. They cease to work, cease to save, seek to emigrate or live outside the money economy, turn to the black market, crime, and corruption. There is no point to doing an honest day's work and saving up because the rate at which you save cannot keep pace with the rate at which the currency loses value. This system punishes people who save, and rewards people who either bypass the money economy through crime corruption etc, or who splurge on short term rewards. None of that is conducive to long term wealth generation. No one will save up to build a factory. Instead they will spend all their money as fast as they can get it.
