i think i see where you're going. the goal wasnโt necessarily to hurt people, it was to sell drugs, and maybe set a precedent for complying with something irritating and draconian. that way, the next time they try something similar, itโll be easier to get public buy-in.
but if a conspiracy like this were ever exposed, the financial and reputational damage to pharmaceutical companies and governments would be colossal. public trust would plummet, lawsuits would explode, and regulatory crackdowns would be relentless. the risk just doesnโt align with the idea of such a widespread plot.
