It's still up in the UK but in terms of future implications it's probably only a matter of time before it's not available, at least not without an ID check. From what I understand the meat and potatoes of the online safety act requires sites to have a more robust prevention system in place for minors accessing certain content, e.g. porn and harassment. Effectively 4chan would have to comply with a third party to check the age of its UK posters via some identification system, or the site will be blocked in the UK, either by 4chan's own initiative or when the UK would eventually do so otherwise. Apparently Ofcom would make the call for taking action against 4chan.
At this point we can only wait and see what happens and how long it will take.

The only reason the porn sites are rolling out the age verification is to avoid a flat ban via the ISPs.
