There's a reason Jesus's "Most Beloved Disciple" is always depicted as a beardless boy whereas the rest of his followers had beards. Dude liked em young.

Jesus was a chill street preacher trying to spread his morality, and after he was politically executed his followers decided to immortalize him as the center of his own grand narrative.

His point was never about God as some specific deity. The story was co-opted by the establishment and used to impose morality through fear on the plebians.

Modern Christianity misses the entire point of what Jesus taught. Going to church once a week to get high on group spiritual feelings spurred on in a calculated manner with hymns and music and whatnot and then going back home and continuing to worship celebrities and brands and money as your god doesn't lead you to salvation no matter what the Bible says.

Christianity is about purity of intent, not ritualistic adherence to rules.

No, I am a Muslim. I accept Jesus Christ and Christians, and I hope that your church service is meaningful time spent with God and your community.

Nothing with attending regular church service. It is very important spiritually for many people and is personally refreshing and an important community function.

Many people these days don't even believ in God let alone go to a house of worship, am glad that people like you still exist in America.

For Muslims this is on Friday at noon, it is called Jummah, there is a prayer followed by a sermon (khutba), a lot like Sunday morning for Christians or Shabbat for Jews at the synagogue.

The way we connect with God has a lot of similarities. I am a Shia, the local mosque is Sunni will not even let me pray in their mosque as I am Shia. It could be worse, look at Syria, so instead we are building a mosque here so we have a place to pray Jummah and pray together as a congregation.

I find it odd how every attack on Christian theology is aimed at *PTUH* catholic practice. I seek God every day and He blesses me.
