It’s not that bad though. For instance i get a bit over €5k/month. Then it’s ~350 for pension and ~1200 (24%) in outright taxes. Take home pay about 3,5k€/month. Then I deduct about ~600/month for payback of interest on mortgage, effectively leaving me with 12% direct fax deduction outside of pension. The second income of my household has no such deduction, so it is a bit higher. After that you still get VAT, municipal taxes, mandatory insurance and the marginal tax pressure is indeed close to 50% for Every euro I make, because income above €75k gets taxed way more. So it’s nothing like a tax walhalla, but the twatter screencap is a ludicrous exageration.
