Looks oversalted. Also eat it on toasted bread. Add onion (white or green) and some green herbs like parsley and dill. Peppers go well with it too.

Pemmican is gross, it has the texture of sand. Also I just don't like fruit with beef/game personally. It was a survival food hundreds of years ago, there's no reason to make/eat it now, especially when you can just do biltong or jerky.
