Releasing the information would shatter the entire chain of command keeping everything the government does functional.
You would have 95% of congressional representatives jailed or killed within a week. The executive branch would lose all of its leadership. Hell, a good majority of judges, federal and state, would end up going to prison. Our courts would stop working, our military would lose all leadership, no laws would be able to get passed, no services would function. It would turn us into a third world country and we would be invaded within a year and lose our independence. America as we know it would be over. You don't understand how deep this stupid epstein shit goes. Too many people in power are convicted for us to safely release their names now. If it was just a handful of people, and they were mostly retired? Then yeah, sure it would be fine. But we're talking a great majority of everyone currently embedded in the government. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. I'm taking the pragmatic approach. Sure, they did bad things and should be punished for it ideally, but the problem has spread so much that we can't punish them at this point without destroying our entire country. Our best bet is to give it a few decades to cool off and the people involved to no longer be in power like the JFK files, and then we can talk about it.
