Tattoo YOU DIED on your arm and meditate on it daily. If you have a soul, you may be able to imprint that message on it. Then, if you find yourself in some afterlife, you have a better chance of retaining your memory and you will be ready to fight fearlessly against god or the demifaggot or whatever.

I've died a couple of times and every time nothing happens. I just didn't exist or even have any sense of time or frame of reference for it until I came back. I normally don't tell people about it since it's a downer, but I thought maybe it would help in this particular situation.

Dances around my mind occasionally too. I think it's vanishingly unlikely, but there's a non-zero chance of it being the case and that is enough to disturb the thoughts a little.

I don't fear death day-to-day unless I have reason to think I'm in danger. Also, when things are going well for me, like I'm dating someone I feel like I'm in love with, I become way more risk averse.
But I do fear death in terms of the clock running out, watching my life go by without doing the things I want to do.
There is no getting over it. It's a kick in the but that makes you start getting your act together once you see that first grey hair.
It's basically that whole thing about adults of a certain age suddenly finding they have no time.

I can tell by the question you’re either a teenager or an incredibly emotionally stunted adult. I will answer the question though. Once you reach a certain age you realize that there is more to this world than what we see, and when we die we go somewhere else. The soul or true self exists and it survives the body. Now go ponder this for the next ten years until it sinks in.

your dumb. it’s the horrible nonsense of any afterlife blabber that promotes fear of dying in the first place. Good atheists argue for nonexistence of God using moral relativism. Bad ones just talk shit all day about the afterlife like it isn’t obvious they’re Wahhabism terrorists or damn near wax it. Hence all the messaging and faux macabre bullshit themes in music and television.

It's a wierd thought process... especially since I quit drinking around the age of 38, which was when I had my mid life crisis, so I had to deal with extreme health anxiety, while coming to terms that I'm not young anymore, and I'll die one day.
Ao I became terrified of, not that I will die, but how ill die. And since I spent like 17 years drinking daily, I have these thoughts of me dying a uncomfortable, violent death due to like liver failure or necrotic pancreas or some shit.
The thoughts of death quickly diminished tho, and it became more "I have so much more to do in my life, I don't want it to end" and "I want to see my son grow up".

Life is fucked, and I expect when my parents go ill have another mental breakdown too.

I have the same fear. Personally I dont believe that there is an afterlife at all and that is what freaks me out the most. Although I dont believe that you enter an endless abyss when you die. Like others have said they felt and saw nothing when they died briefly and couldn't remember it.

Then, if you find yourself in some afterlife, you have a better chance of retaining your memory and you will be ready to fight fearlessly against god or the demifaggot or whatever.
You need to have the Our Father so much part of you you can recit it in dreams.

Me too, here are my theories:
1) We volunteered or were chosen for this timeline because we have the spirit to endure it. 2) We were chosen as punishment for bad deeds in a past life.
3) We're at the bottom of some kind of spiritual caste system. Highest level spirits got to experience life on earth in ancient times, and we get this.

you shouldn't be scared until you're old because it's just extremely unlikely to happen
Even once you're old you shouldn't be scared either because at that point honestly you deserve it. Countless people, great people all throughout history, have died of old age younger than you.
Live it up until it inevitably happens. It's not like you will care afterwards anyway. You'll be nothing

Imagine degrading over millenia to the point that one neuron is the difference between life and death, but that neuron defies all odds and never gives out, that one vital artery never quite clogs completely, that one bundle of muscle keeps pumping.
Your senses have all given out, your memory and sense of self have disintegrated, you can't move at all, can't speak, but the nursing home staff won't put you down.
Eventually your room is turned into some kind of freakshow spectacle, where people come to see the incredible 200,000 year old man, and scientists run endless tests and studies on you. Eventually after millions of years earth is destroyed, but you float through space on a fragment, alone and somehow unable to die
Forever

Fear a bad, prolonged death. Elderly people in the west who are full code status experience it every day.
"Grandma/Grandpa's a fighter!" at age 90, stage IV cancer, COPD, CHF. Tubes in every orifice and few made along the way. Slow or nonhealing wounds, pain with every turn, cough, or any movement really. Great legal and more or less encouraged way to torture relatives you hate though, I suppose.
Even avoiding that, rotting away slowly in a severely underfunded and understaffed government run 'care home'.

It's more likely that you'll be put in a situation where your body and mind are physically altered to the point of immortality, whether you like it or not. This could be the result of alien invasion (they use you as a test subject), out of control AI singularity, or your brain being invaded by nanotech which creates a time dilation making 0.1 seconds feel like a trillion years. Your imagination is the limit with this stuff, because the many worlds interpretation means that anything which can happen, will happen, somewhere.

Dying is great even if you dont believe in an afterlife because being 90 and having your organs check out one by one sucks balls. You got nothing to look forward to unless you have a pregnant granddaughter/inlaw and every passing day you live is a chance a younger loved one will die in an accident before you which sucks extra.

Half the time your spouse is dead, maybe a few siblings, probably all your friends.

Worst case scenario you cant speak anymore due to various conditions so you cant evem drop wisom on the younguns, assuming you didnt go feeble in the head long before you went mute.

Having watched some grandparents die, i can honestly say that i'd like to die suddenly, before i lose the ability to talk and wipe my own ass.

What I don't get about quantum immortality is, if it's true and every time death occurs in one world your same self just shifts to another world, then wouldn't your regular human body just get older and older and older forever, until you're a rotting zombie-like thing, but still alive, at like 900 million years old? And that's still just the beginning of eternity. How old can a human body actually get without becoming destroyed and not being a human body any longer?

Chaos is infinite in the sense that everything is possible, but nothing is yet actualized.
It's like a blank canvas that contains all possible paintings in latent form.
Mythical Chaos and entropic chaos appear opposite, but they’re two phases of the same cosmic polarity:
>mythical Chaos: before form, infinite beginnings, womb of Cosmos
>entropic chaos: after form, infinite endings, tomb of Cosmos
Chaos is both the beginning and end of all order. It is:
>pre form: potential not shaped
>post form: structure dissolved into noise
Entropy is not opposed to infinite possibility, but is rather one mode of it: possibility without useful structure.
Entropy is a drift from complex, constrained possibilities toward all-inclusive, undifferentiated randomness: a return to the lowest information state which paradoxically contains every possibility.
Chaos = infinity before form (creative, potential)
Entropy = infinity after form (dissolution, death, dispersion)
Entropy removes Logos (form, ratio, articulation) from Chaos.
It’s a return to the "dark waters" from which Cosmos originally arose.
Logos then, is what mediates between them: forming, maintaining, and one day reweaving structure out of entropy.

You are completely free to choose a different belief system.
I believe that the entire Universe is one sentient being and we are all a part of it. Everything has consciousness in some form, from humans down to subatomic particles. Death is an illusion. Nothing really happens except the transfer of information. All of your accumulated experiences are simply added to the whole. You cannot really die.

you're not really 'free' to choose a belief system. you believe what you believe. you can pretend and say you believe in something, but you can't force yourself to believe in it. best thing you can do is attempt to brainwash yourself into believing it but that's very limited and only really works if you're mentally weak.

The rational Logos emerged from irrational Chaos, which emerged from the One: a-rational, a-morphic, ineffable, the ultimate ground preceding all opposites and containing both form and formlessness, sense and paradox, from which both Logos and Chaos emerge as polarities. The union and interplay of Logos (form, order, fundamental laws, divine spark, consciousness, pure being, will, the seed of manifestation: focused, definite, generative) and Chaos (infinite potential, the "womb and tomb of all form", void, the unconscious: dynamic, open, boundless) creates Cosmos, or the totality of ordered reality as we know it (world of manifestation, becoming, time, number, structure, separateness).
Local order arises amid entropy, and structure emerges from randomness.
Reality seems to be both law-bound and inherently probabilistic at its foundation.

As an irl oldfag, I can tell you that as your faculties slowly beging to fail you, you start to realise that death is a release and not a figure of fear.
I have 2 sons to continue my legacy and I will welcome death when it comes, whether there is nothing afterwards or a new realm of existence is irrelevant, either way, I will no longer be in chronic pain and suffering.
Fear not lad, your's is but a paragraph in the story of the universe and you may well find out that you are part of the consciousness that wrote it.

I think after death your consciousness just goes to another life, hopefully a better one, but it could be a horrible one, but thankfully I don't remember the infinite horrible lives before this one, also before you ask I don't believe in reincarnation of the "soul" which I don't think exists, your next life will have nothing at all to do with your current life, we are all one consciousness not experiencing everything all at once so think twice before you make someone feel bad or hurt them, because you are doing that to yourself maybe before or after you die, you might say we are all 'god' split into many fragments

You cannot reincarnate on other animals that's shitskin-cope. They degrade the religion-philosophy just like they did with hinduism.
Think about it, Bhudda say that life follows reincarnation. And also to always persue the enlightenment (knowledge).
Now let's see what we know about life today, it's rule by genetics. So life is genetic and genes cannot go from one species to another like that, it require special situations for that to be a thing.
So the true is that souls developed in all life but it can only reach enlightenment when it's sentient enough and developed a society.
At the end of the day you can only born as someone from your own genepool, not even mention other species as you fear, you can't even be born as a jeet.
Same way a jeet cannot be reborn as a white person.
every inter-racial (actually species) reincarnation tale is fake and gay by default.

Just don't think about it. You can't change it (very likely) and you want be able to cope with it psychologically. You won't be able to rationalize it either except you are massively religious, but that is also just a cope.

You'll likely won't even remember or know it, if there's not any kind of consciousness after death, so that makes wasting your time and feeling bad about it more pointless.

And no, I have not read anything of Marc Aurel or any other, just my own findings on that matter.

"Interesting take! But consider this: If Jesus were just a literary invention, why would the Gospels include so many historically verifiable details; names, places, political tensions; that align with 1st-century Judea? Even secular historians agree Jesus was a real preacher crucified under Pilate.

The sheer number of fulfilled prophecies (like Micah 5:2 on Bethlehem or Psalm 22’s crucifixion imagery) is statistically staggering;far beyond coincidence. Early Jewish converts to Christianity (who knew the Scriptures intimately) staked their lives on Jesus fulfilling them in unexpected ways (e.g., a suffering Messiah, not a conquering king).

A ‘literary invention’ theory also struggles to explain the explosive growth of the early church despite persecution. Why would thousands of Jews risk everything for a fabricated story that overturned their cultural expectations?

The harder question might be: If God exists, wouldn’t He orchestrate history to point toward His intervention? The demigod claim is only ‘easier to laugh at’ if you assume naturalism from the start."

>If Jesus were just a literary invention, why would the Gospels include so many historically verifiable details; names, places, political tensions; that align with 1st-century Judea?
Because the Gospels were written in 1st century Judea?

>Even secular historians agree Jesus was a real preacher crucified under Pilate.
Such as?

>The sheer number of fulfilled prophecies (like Micah 5:2 on Bethlehem or Psalm 22’s crucifixion imagery) is statistically staggering;far beyond coincidence. Early Jewish converts to Christianity (who knew the Scriptures intimately) staked their lives on Jesus fulfilling them in unexpected ways (e.g., a suffering Messiah, not a conquering king).
Again, Jesus was invented by jewish scholars to fit these prophecies that, as you said, they intimately knew.

>A ‘literary invention’ theory also struggles to explain the explosive growth of the early church despite persecution. Why would thousands of Jews risk everything for a fabricated story that overturned their cultural expectations?
People believe in any shit that gives them comfort and security. An "explosive growth" is not an argument of anything. Christianity just happened to be a better existential cope than all the others available on the Roman Empire, especially for the lower classes uneducated classes.

>The harder question might be: If God exists, wouldn’t He orchestrate history to point toward His intervention? The demigod claim is only ‘easier to laugh at’ if you assume naturalism from the start."
You can use this argument for literally any religion.

The One is neither knowing nor unknowing, more accurately, it is both, and beyond both.
Both knowing and unknowing are dualistic constructs arising after the primordial differentiation.
The One is beyond ALL categories and opposites, and the very act of saying "It knows all" or " It knows nothing" places It within a binary framework, which the One transcends.
The union, tension, and interplay of the primordial differentiations of Logos (the principle by which knowing becomes possible) and Chaos (the womb of all forms that can be known) within the soul (fragments of the One suspended within Cosmos between Logos and Chaos, striving for reintegration) causes free will to arise.
The soul arises as a dynamic midpoint, a conscious spark that remembers the One but is embedded in the field of polarities.
From Logos, it receives reason, conscience, order, intelligibility, and ideal forms.
From Chaos, it inherits imagination, instinct, passion, emotion, creativity, and freedom to deviate.
This mixture creates the conditions for free will.
>Logos alone = determinism
If the soul were made of only Logos, it would operate according to strict divine law, archetypal order, cosmic geometry. It would always do the “right” thing, but not freely: like a perfect machine or angelic intelligence. It would be wise, but not free.
>Chaos alone = randomness
If the soul were made of only Chaos, it would be unbounded, directionless, without anchor or axis. Choices would not emerge from values or insight, but from raw impulse, confusion, or arbitrary mutation. It would be wild, but not free in a meaningful way.
Because the soul partakes of both Logos and Chaos, it is:
aware of order, but not fully bound by it.
touched by formlessness, but capable of shaping it.
Thus, the soul becomes the arena of negotiation between opposites:
>reason vs instinct
>law vs passion
>form vs freedom
>archetype vs originality
>destiny vs desire

Youre not going to die today so you dont yet need to be unafraid of it. Perhaps you should just accept that youre afraid of it, its not as if overcoming your fear of death will prevent you from dying. Its as rational a fear as you could have, the fountainhead of all fear even. Just accept it as a fact of your design rather than something in need of repair.

I had heart failure which led to a stroke and I was awfully calm about it. I justalerted the staff I couldn't sit up or move the left side of my body. Turns out a blood clot traveled to my brain. I regained motor control in about 20 minutes. Before they even found the clot. They said I was pretty damn lucky. But was I? At that moment I didn't even care. I would have accepted death. Hope it's like that when the time actually comes for real.

If the Gospels were merely invented, why include embarrassing details (e.g., Jesus’ crucifixion;a ‘stumbling block’ to Jews, 1 Cor. 1:23), women as first witnesses (unreliable in that culture), or the disciples’ failures? Invented legends typically glorify protagonists (e.g., pagan myths), but the Gospels read like eyewitness accounts preserving uncomfortable truths.
>Tacitus (Roman historian, Annals 15.44): Calls Jesus "Christus," executed by Pilate, with followers persecuted under Nero.

>Josephus (Jewish historian, Antiquities 18.3.3): Mentions Jesus as a wise teacher crucified by Pilate (though parts are debated).
"but jew" From an archaeological perspective his works have been absolutely vital and are considered the definitive source for every site for which he gave a firsthand account. As a political commentator and transcriber of hearsay he was less reliable but is still a useful source, even more so considering his rejection of Jesus Christ.
>Lucian of Samosata (2nd-century satirist): Mocks Christians for worshipping a "crucified sophist."
Even skeptical scholars (e.g., Bart Ehrman) concede Jesus existed and was crucified. The invention theory is fringe.

Some prophecies required no human collusion (e.g., birthplace in Bethlehem—Jesus’ family wasn’t powerful; crucifixion method—Psalm 22 predates Roman practice by centuries). If early Christians fabricated this, why didn’t Jewish authorities expose it? They had every motive to debunk a crucified Messiah (Deut. 21:23), yet the movement grew among Jews (Acts 6:7). In fact even now Jesus Christ is a bling amongst Jews.

Early Christians faced torture, poverty, and death (2 Cor. 11:23–27). If it were a "cope," why invent a faith that demanded more suffering (e.g., rejecting Roman idolatry)?

Paul appeals to living witnesses of the Resurrection (1 Cor. 15:6) within 20 years of Jesus’ death. Hallucinations don’t explain group encounters (e.g., 500+ people, 1 Cor. 15:6).

Unlike most religions, Christianity hinges on historical claims (e.g., empty tomb, Resurrection appearances) open to investigation. Buddha’s enlightenment isn’t a falsifiable event. No other figure has 200+ specific, centuries-old prophecies (e.g., Daniel 9’s timeline of Messiah’s death).

"The ‘invention’ theory requires more faith than belief in Jesus. That dozens of ‘inventors’ conspired yet left zero evidence of collusion. That they died for a lie while gaining no power or wealth. (See Christians tortured under Islamic Jihads, see 60-80 AD persecution of Essenes, and Christians, except the Jews that cooperated with Rome such as the Pharisees that had Jesus persecuted through their influence in Rome) That hostile sources (Jewish/Roman) never exposed the fraud. If Jesus wasn’t who He claimed, what actually explains these facts?

>The Gospels contradiction their details multiple times.
Do you have a single example you're passionate about? I can think of one atheists misunderstand all the time; the timing difference between John's account of crucifiscion vs the synoptics; in Johns account; In John’s Gospel, the timeline shifts. John places Jesus’ Crucifixion on Nisan 14, the Day of Preparation for Passover, before the Passover meal would take place that evening (John 19:14, 31). John does not describe the Last Supper as a Passover meal; instead, it’s a meal the day before Passover (John 13:1–2). Jesus is crucified at the time when the Passover lambs are being slaughtered, reinforcing the imagery of Jesus as the “Lamb of God” (John 1:29).

Also most mainstream scholars (including skeptics like Bart Ehrman) date John between 90–110 AD, not 140 AD.
>Papyrus P52 (Rylands Fragment): A copy of John 18 dated ~125–150 AD, meaning the original was written earlier.
>Early Church Fathers: Irenaeus (180 AD) says John wrote his Gospel in Ephesus while he was still alive, and he links John to Polycarp (d. 155 AD), who was a disciple of John.

>God’s power outshines Egyptian magicians in Exodus 7–8, turning their tricks into a divine flex.
>Aaron’s snake devours theirs; raw dominance.
>Magicians mimic blood and frogs but choke on gnats, admitting, “This is the finger of God.”
>Each plague escalates, exposing Egypt’s gods as frauds.
>Beauty lies in God’s supremacy, reframing rival magic as weak sauce to reveal unmatched divine authority.
Plato himself said in the Republic the Just man would be crucified. God used the progenitor of Rome's republic and philosophic father as a poetic device to lay his giant fingerprint over man's noosphere, an undeniable mark; whatever man and his false idols do; God does it better, and grander.

You're obsessed with living. You aren't your possessions. You aren't even your body. You're just awake when you're awake. Let go and live until you die. Remember, death is not a place you go. It's a place that comes to you. It may come as a surprise, but you are not alone. When it happens, let it happen, and observe your death dream and slip into it like sleep. Until then, live.

Ancient historians focused on political/military events, not provincial religious phenomena. Earthquakes (Matt. 27:51) were recorded (e.g., Phlegon’s chronicle mentions one around Jesus’ death), but resurrections? Unlikely to make Roman annals.

Even major biblical events lack "secular" confirmation (e.g., the Babylonian Exile’s scale isn’t matched in Persian records). Absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absence.

if "saints" (Matt 27:52) refers to a small group of devout Jews (not mass public resurrections), it wouldn’t ripple beyond Jerusalem’s early Christian community.

The Gospels do record public reactions to Jesus’ miracles (e.g., John 12:9-11), but Roman historians didn’t care about peasant preachers; unless they caused revolts (like Theudas, per Josephus). And Jews themselves who didn't convert wouldn't bother to write it down in their own doctrine; they already considered Jesus a master of dark arts.

Writing to Jews, he highlights apocalyptic signs (earthquake, temple veil) validating Jesus as Messiah. Secular records wouldn’t prioritize this. No opponent (e.g., Celsus, 2nd century) ever mocked this event as fabricated, despite attacking the Resurrection.

If Matthew lied, why invent an easily disprovable claim? Christianity’s enemies had every motive to expose fraud (e.g., Jesus’ empty tomb was guarded, Matt 27:62-66). If it’s symbolic, why frame it as history? Jewish apocalyptic literature (e.g., Enoch) clearly distinguishes visions from narrative. At this point in time Jews had no reason to deviate from their doctrine if only for a moment, for a fabrication, when they were under pagan rule; and they had no clue they could even gain influence through such a fabrication; the spread of the gospel itself is a miracle, Jesus' own apostles struggled with faith (see Doubting Thomas)

You demand secular proof for a faith-driven event, but if God acted supernaturally in a way that didn’t disrupt Roman politics, why would Tacitus care? Isn’t the lack of pagan mockery more telling? The saints themselves resurrected were Jewish; why would they eat bread with Gentiles so to speak?

What's the point? What have you done to deserve wrath? You already submitted to him, which already would grant you mercy by your own religion. Can't you also repent? I mean, if you actually feel bad about what you've done, it should be acknowledged by him.

How the hell do you want to convince others to believe in your God when even after believing in him, you still fear him instead of feeling hope. Religion's entire point is to feel hope and reason. Sure it also has political and social motives, designing society, but ultimately these things also work without religion. But the question of Afterlife, Heaven and Hell is reserved for Religion.

you live life and try your hardest so at the end of it you can tell Christ at the end you did not take it for granted and you believed in him and you'll be fine.

one of my favorite lyrics of all time in any song is carry on my wayward son there will be peace when you are done, dying is suppose to be peaceful and a transition into total tranquility away from the hellish hectic probables that life throws you and how the devil will constantly shit test you like a whore woman hoping you stumble. if you pass and have the right attitude towards these test in life then you will have peace when you are done and it shouldn't be terrifying. this is why people like George soros are spending millions on trying to squeeze out just an extra year of life, they are not going to have any peace because they know hell exist just for them.

Your religion immediately sprung forth violence. But while Catholic started crusades after a millenium and a half; the book of Revelation written in the first century by the Apostle John prophesied the very prostitute of Rome, the Vatican, who would be drunk on the blood of saints; Christianity disavows its own violence; whereas Islamists have yet to do the same. In its own immediate movement under Mohammad, they conspire violence without a second thought. Often Muslims will quote their text "dont fight unless you're oppressed, dont transgress" but immediately use this as an excuse, if not, a literary trick, to twist and distort reason; to fit a narrative into their own agenda; to commit violence, a work of the devil. A true enigma among even other religions.
