I like a soft bed too much to be homeless. As it is, I am only hoeless.

Most homeless people are such by virtue of their own choices, and they continue to sustain those choices which keep them homeless.

Unironically had this happen. I went back to living out of my car for another year; I was already used to it, I saved a shitload of money, and didn't have to deal with shitty roommates.

It really is, with a car, you can go anywhere.
If you can make it look like you don't sleep in it, you can make it your hotel.

I've been homeless for 5 years, been in a really nice addiction shelter in Chicago for past few months and have decided to go back to living in a house/apartment.... But it's still so tempting just to get drunk all day and panhandle/steal booze all day

I had a coworker do this. He had a great time and ended up with a much better job after the fact.

I wish I could do something like this. But I’m Asperger’s as fuck and don’t even know what I would do. I don’t really try to meet people and don’t find different areas interesting… so it would just be driving for nothing I guess.

I really envied him.

I hate soft beds. I sleep on a hard floor. Solved all my back problems.

thanks for the (you), im pretty autistic but will be good to get out of my comfort zone and i plan on enjoying nature / national parks and hopefully meet some cool people.

plus every time i tell someone my plan they have a similar reaction of envy which really solidifies my decision even more
