If you're wealthy enough to be able to post on 4chan, you're wealthy enough to start growing comestible plants. If you pick the right plants, you can get huge harvests every year even in tiny spaces.
>My soil is crap!
You can improve the soil and plant things that don't mind poor soil
>I don't get much sun!
Some plants prefer the shade
>I'm lazy
Plant perennials. You do it once and you're good.
>It's hot/cold here!
SOMETHING grows there. Find out what hardiness zone you're in and search based off that. If necessary, you can grow indoors.
>I can buy food at the store!
Fruits and vegetables you find at the store have half the nutrients they did a few decades ago because the cultivars they are selecting for their breeding programs are the ones that give the longest shelf life. That's all they care about. Your store bought tomatoes are hybridized with a variety that doesn't ripen at all just to make your tomatoes last a couple weeks longer.

Raspberry/blackberry seeds are the worst. They're tiny and rock-hard, and get lodged in your teeth forever.

You have a computer, internet connection and free time to shitpost, so yes.
Getting a berry bush or three is not a big investment in money, time or effort. The first harvest you get would cost more to buy at the store than the plants and all the time/effort spent growing it. You then continue to reap harvests for years and years and years.

If you don't like seeds, there are options.
Like the mandarin melon berry tree, also known as the che fruit.
If you only plant a female one, you get seedless fruit.

I'd like to add, freeze dryers can take a fruit like raspberries and make it worth a tremendous amount of money selling locally. Additional bonus, all freeze dried foods have a 25 year shelf life and only needs water to revive. There are a ton of side hustle videos about this on yt. Godspeed anons.

>Rehydrating them
Nah, they're tastier if you eat them while dry. It's crunchy and then instantly melts in your mouth. Amazing.

bump because I have endless potatoes to eat and all I did was throw a few in the ground a couple years ago. the vines grow in circles and I cover with compost dirt and I just keep getting more free food is all. my soil is basically the most nutrient dense soil in the entire 40 square mile area around me so I am certainly getting the highest concentrations of vitamins and minerals and all for free. this winter I will branch out to other free foods.

Based potato man.
I live in the land of potatoes, sweet corn and apples, so I have no real reason to grow those.
I'm loading up on rarer stuff like honeyberries and arctic kiwis.

You don't even need to plant them in your yard. I spread berry seeds in the public park a few years ago and now every summer I go berry picking.
>mfw I ate the equivalent of $1,500 worth of berries from the grocery store this summer for free
Feels good man

If you're really short on space, you could go the microgreens route.
You spread seeds out on a tray, spritz them with water and let them germinate for a while. You'll have 2-4 batches per month, depending. Very high turnover rate and restaurants love the stuff.

I STRONGLY recommend onion and broccoli sprouts. Fantastic stuff.
