My family fought on both sides of WW2 in direct opposition, the German side was captured in Africa and enjoyed the company of Aussies so much me migrated to Aus after the war and my family here gave him and his family half their land and eventually their son.

The town I grew up in was full of Germans, original settlers, boer war, pre-war, post-war, and White Europeans of all kind, but everyone strived to build something better for their children, something beautiful, peaceful and prosperous, and they did.
