In some towns here in the UK. The police stations have been closed. With some knocked down and replaced by flats. In years after the removal of the police stations, reporting crime goes down.

How about that. Delete the police force and their police station and crime goes down.

What can be inferr from this? Because the government infer that crime levels are dropping steeply.

They are not overwhelmed. Study from California found 89% of of police time is spent on traffic stops, 11% for service calls.

Think of it like this: You could go to someone's homes and hear about how they were robbed, fill in reports and do nothing.
Or you can pull people over for some minor traffic violation write them a ticket for $100 to $500 that gets returned to your police department, then maybe poke around looking for drugs or taunt someone into a reaction so you can legally beat them into a coma.

I believe it's because crime rate is actually going down, and more enforced than ever (thanks to muslims always creating gang-related crime) but the reason the public thinks it's worse than ever is because politicians talk way more about crime than they used to, especially sex crimes like rape or violence against women. This makes a 16 year old Gen Alpha female very angry becuase she was told the world had almost no crime, so when politicians keep bringing it up, she turns into a puritan, and ends up sending letters to congress that women are being raped daily, and children are being abused everywhere, so crime should be punished even harder, and be made even more illegal than before.
