shrinkflation, now lieflation fraudflation.
What kind of jewish trick is this? Did they just round up?
Who jewed me out of 12 ounces of potatoes?
This is the worst thing to happen at walmart since the last mass stabbing.

Or is my scale way off, is this why I'm still fat? scales in Muttmerica display a lower weight than what it actually is getting us to eat a little more than we need?

always do the weight checking in the supermarket. specially with pricey veggies.
then pick the heaviest of course!

>what is an lbs and how many ounces has a kings feet from your colonial masters?

>what is an lbs
lbs is the abbreviation for pounds, I have no idea why, it just is. but the bag says 3 and my scale says 2, I noticed this because I was weighing potatoes out to make potato wedges, I got to one pound and noticed the bag was about the same amount as I weighed. I put the potatoes back and weighed the sack and yep, they jewed me, it probably wasn't walmart, it was whoever supplied these potatoes. but there is a jew somewhere along the supply chain.
Anonymous (ID: yzT8k875) United States No.512078232
They fucked up or this is a potato bag that had a potato or two removed.
I worked on a farm and sometimes packing, you do it by feel rather than weighing each bag. Usually we were over the weight stated.

>buys a bag of potatoes (or vegetables) instead of hand picking and getting them weighed at the register
You get what you deserve desu. I used to buy the triple pack of bell peppers then noticed how they were smaller than the ones in the bins and more expenisve per lb
>>512077685
One lb is 16 ounces or 448 grams or ~0.5kg. OP got jewed by half a kg of potatoes.

alright that's fucking weird. i just got back from the grocery store and i noticed the 5lb bag of potatoes was only a little over 4.5lbs when i scanned it at the self-checkout thing. and then i get home and look at 4chan after cooking my dinner and see this thread

never in my life had the thought "hey wtf they just screwed me out of .5 lbs of potatoes" before an hour ago. and then i see a thread with those exact words when i get home

(this isn't necessarily meaningful, i just think the coincidence is neat. what are the odds?!)

i feel like mentioning that i haven't been to the grocery store in at least a month because i've been doing intermittent fasting and i go to the food bank because i'm poor. so i haven't bought potatoes in several months, probably since april. and then i buy potatoes and the single notable thing about that experience is that the bag was missing a half pound of 'taters and then i get home and open my 'puter and see the first ever thread i've ever seen about 5 lb bags of taters missing a half pound of taters

i'm just saying!! it's weird, is all!! my mental stability was already dangling by a thread!! and i think now i might be having a panic attack!! what's really going on here i mean really?!!

the juxtaposition between the incredible odds against this thing happening, and the seeming meaninglessness of the thing, are cooking my brain right now!!!

is the fabric of reality starting to melt?!?! does this approaching interstellar object have some kind of anomalous properties capable of interacting with the fabric of spacetime?!?! are the 5 dimensional mantids fucking with me again?!?! is it the CIA or scottish rite freemasons fucking with me?!! what is really going on!!?!!

who is the anonymous hacker known as 4chan and what do they want with me?!?

i can't believe it was a food inflation thread about potatoes that finally caused me to have a nervous breakdown.
after all the gore threads, the gangstalking threads, the weird posters seemingly directly addressing me on an anonymous forum, i took all that like duck off a water's back...like water under the bridge over troubled water...

and then a fucking Potato Inflation thread is the one that does me in...

i'm cooked, fried, smashed, like a fucking tater. put me in a fucking stew boys, i'm done!!!

My local Walmart is great. The produce scale used by delivery shoppers always weighs low, and the women/immigrants who shop will steal extra for me because I am a handsome white male who theoretically has the ability to tip them. Last week, I got free 3.3lb cabbage and 2lb papaya. Pre-bagged carrots are consistently 10% overweight.
Anonymous (ID: RhsfeFFZ) Australia No.512083086
Is that really how you measure? 2:4.7 pounds? Looks like your scale is reading 4.7 lbs. None of it makes sense.

I work in food manufacturing. Probably some manager decided to make his mark by getting the machine as close to 3lb exactly as possible to reduce excess. So he took measurements while the machine was running smoothly and got it to 3.01lbs and called it a day without realizing the machine has start and stop procedures that may not operate exactly the same as smooth production, and those start ups or stoppages may end up being a little less than 3lb as a result.

was it sacrilegious for to pull the meat off the bones after it came out of the smoker? it's easier to eat with a fork, combining tators, rib meat and slaw in one bite is heaven, the spicey buttery tater wedges, the heavy fatty, meaty, and crunchy with the burnt bits ribs, then the refreshing lime flavor from the slaw.
for me, this combination defines summer only problem is waiting for the damn ribs to finish.

what rub do you use? I use
>salt,
>black pepper,
>coffee grounds,
>smoked paprika,
>garlic powder
>brown sugar

also tators
>ranch dressing ,
>parsley,
>onion powder,
>garlic powder,
>smoked paprika,
>cayenne pepper

the slaw dressing
>Mayo
>Lime juice
>Lime zest
>Cilantro
>sugar
>Salt

Its probably hopeless now that you've already taken potatoes out, but in the future you should check the weight in advance. Walmart is pretty good about returns though so they may refund even now.

Nothing wrong with picnic style fall off the bones ribs, they have their place. If you cook them on a smoker and specifically go for Texas style, firm enough to leave a bite mark, and you miss it's on you to live with because everyone else will eat them and be happy.
I do 321 on a pellet grill. I usually make my own rubs, but still look up recipes for a guide line, and alter to taste>>512083877

I pulled it off the bone for left overs mostly I don't want finger food when I'm at work, I'm an industrial electrician and those panel leave a ton of grease and shit on my hands plus it will take up less room in the fridge this way. Ribs are one of those things that taste just as good the next day. And cole slaw gets better tasting with age, especially with home made dressing I've accidently fermented cole slaw before and it was actually even better. I should figure out how to ferment it on purpose.
