What will the fall and eventual collapse of the USA look like?
As a preface; this is not a desire of mine, but an inevitably that befalls all super powers/empires

Ugly.
And when it falls, so will everything else, with the hovering vultures you see cleaning up the scraps as they fall from the corpse.

It wont. Too big to fail is the modern motto. If anything it will get a name change in the future once we start colonizing other planets. We'll be obligated to start calling ourselves the United Empire of America

The US dollar not being able to buy you every day items needed for survival, more than half of Americans become homeless, and it will be a world of the haves and have nots. After that its a two tier society with the very large wealth gap, A.I. taking tech jobs will mean more unemployed white collar workers.

I'm living day to day right now, I may end up homeless and if that happens I'l probably just live out in the sticks and build my own shack by hand and leave society. I have tried fucking building wealth in America and its becoming harder and harder. I can't afford jack shit anymore, and being homeless would be a step up for me.

You can't pay rent and live on a min wage job anymore, let alone 2 or 3 of them. Its not enough, the poor are getting poorer.

Regional warlordism following terrifying destruction inflicted globally as the death throes spill over borders. Madness will grip those with authority to turn keys and push buttons, and the last acts of these insane trustees of power will be to take the enemies of old down with us before they check out themselves.

The 2008 bailouts propped up the housing bubble also are a big part of this. The bailouts shouldn't of happened. And people taking home loans they couldn't afford and interest rates were 0 percent

At some point there will be a dozen or so super AGIs. They won't decide to destroy us Skynet styles. They'll decide to wage war against each other because there can be only one god. We will be the collateral damage. Probably some Chink AGIs in there too.

To be honest, I'm not sure what would happen next. Would the military step in? would Trump be removed by his loyalists before civil war consumes the country? or will Trump die.

I think we'll just have to leave the rest to our imagination

I'm currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the first time. Gameplay is fun, the story around the main character is cringe and gay but the little lore of what has happened to the USA seems practically prophetic based on what's going on now. If I had played it when it first came out I would've been able to play it and see the geopolitical more as a story based in unlikely fantasy.
