I tell you these things because He showed them to me for a reason (Ezekiel 18:23). He does not delight in anyone’s destruction but desires that you turn and live.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)

Imagine being the schmucks who existed in the interim, reading this stuff and realizing you're irrelevant because your life takes place before the end times.

Thats not about the end times, but the incomming persecutions of Christians and the destruction of judeah after Christs death and resurrection. As Chrysostoms says

he speaks before of the great persecution of christians and false prophets coming. this happened right after his crucifixion when the jews murdered christians like the romans did a bit later as well. that bit happened.
Same goes for Luke 21

Now Matthew 16 states

now what is His kingdom?

His kingdom is heaven and our Hearts, which he entered after his resurrection as witnessed by many. He kept his word
