What sucks about this in particular was that pop-up windows were a really cool thing when intentionally designed as part of the site. "Pop-up layouts" are a completely extinct part of web design, and I'm not even sure people here will remember them. They would usually be sized to fit a single picture and then you'd have an IMAP to fit an iframe inside. It was like a little mini-site within a site. Sometimes people used them to make guestbooks or forums. AOL used the shit out of them for all their stuff.

They had so much soul. But they were easy to exploit. Most browsers disabled most of the pop up features used in the above sites, and designers stopped using them altogether. Plus phones make them impossible.

Anyway, fuck this jew. Furthermore the Holocaust never happened.

They pay for the cost to run a website. The ad banners were ok when they were programed to be at the top and bottom of the page in a designated space that the owner gave them. The pop ups block content and can easily get you to click on malware and ransomware sites. This is also why you have to watch a 30 second ad before you can watch a 30 second clip. Pop ups were the forerunners to video ads.
