So here's the deal with Jeets, coming from a former Microsoft employee in Bellevue.
Once they get into a position where they're allowed to hire other people, they only hire from their hometown region and caste or above, then if they can't do that they only hire from their caste or above, then if they can't do that they only hire other jeets of any type available.
HR knows this and once they've only chosen jeets for the last 5-6 hires, HR comes and talks with them, they hire a shaniqua or blue haired girl or some other minority then go back to hiring only jeets.

Bullshit jobs is an interesting read but flawed. It's totally vibes-based. The author heavily conflates the idea of a vaguely-defined social value of work with actual economic value to the business. Basically every legitimate example of a "bullshit" job ends up being due to some regulatory requirement the company is to comply with. His concept of "lackeys" is also extremely dubious and based on the teenage communist idea that executives do basically nothing all day and could easily fit in all manner of menial tasks into their work time instead of hiring someone else to do them.
Genuine bullshit jobs (like the OP may or not may not be) might exist in significant numbers in the growth stages of new, lucrative, high-margin industries - like tech - but outside of the government and government-subsidised/protected companies, they won't last.
