The US is a very young and troubled "nation", and its not difficult to argue that the reason for that is that as a system has a bad relationship with natural hierarchy. We don't have a tradition of reverence to noble and proven lineages of our people who gave more to the nation than what they took, we can barely define ourselves as one coherent people without significant mental gymnastics and cognitive dissonance.
This is why the US is a temporary government.
