Vegas was amazing around 2006-2012 before it got fully corporatized and destroyed. You used to be able to get a 4-star hotel center strip for $150/night and they were generous with gambling comps. No. Casinos have been popping up across the US for decades. Most Americans live within a couple hundred miles of one, and have little need to go there, or to Atlantic City, for reasons of simple gambling. It might have some shows of has-beens and barely were's, which could be mildly entertaining, but otherwise it's just a glorified and gigantic strip mall in the middle of a fucking desert.
