Would you save an online communists life?
Imagine there’s a communist person. They haven’t physically attacked or made plans to hurt anyone but they run a communist account on blue skies and say they hate capitalism daily, that marx was based and they watch Hasan piker regularly. It’s not just an “edgy teenage phase,” they’re a member of the DSA.
They’re relatively young, let’s say early 20’s, and have many family members who love them but have no kids. You are not allowed to demand they do anything for you in return for helping or owe you anything you simply decide if to help them or not.
They’ve been bitten by a venomous snake in the wilderness and you stumble upon them. You happen to be carrying the appropriate antivenom in your kit and you know how to administer it to save their life with ease. They’re begging you for the antivenom (regardless of your ideology). Do you give them the antivenom, or do you not?
Nobody will know you were there or that you refused to give them the antivenom if you so decide to so no one will judge you for not helping them. The city might give you an award for saving them and news outlets will celebrate your heroic deed saving them
