Tariffs aren't necessarily a tax on the populace, it only depends on what the populace buys. The goal is to make them buy domestic products at cheaper prices. Question is, are there any and are the companies responsible for producing them intelligent enough to understand they should be undercutting their competition? Probably not.

I think the courts are going to strike down these tariffs pretty soon. It will be over soon. Trump is a uniquely retarded and psychotic individual.

The U.S. can't produce goods such as coffee or avocados, you brainless dipshit. >U.S. agricultural import growth has been driven by a strong U.S. economy, favorable exchange rates, and rising consumer demand. Much of this demand is for high-valued imports like fruits and vegetables, alcoholic beverages and processed foods. Such goods often canβt be easily or economically produced in the United States, such as tropical products or off-season produce. https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/ag-and-food-statistics-charting-the-essentials/agricultural-trade

Nigger California was the largest producer of Avacados until NAFTA. In fact the Haas avacado you see in stores was developed in California. Hawaii has several coffee plantations

A lot of the tariffs are fucking useless as well because there are exemptions for certain products. Brazil is where we get a lot of the cheap coffee from and it's one of the few items that we actually pay a tariff on because everything else is exempt.
