My guess is the gig system will generalise to every job, you'll have an app telling you what's available and for how long and you'll bid against Somali immigrants to be a gas station employee, a welder or whatever else for the next three to ten business days.

You'll have your resume available at all times, reviews from employers, and all that shit, so you'll be paid poverty wages forever, have no career, and will have to suck their dicks because you just know anyone below 4 stars only gets the shittiest jobs and anyone below 3 might as well be an ex-convict given how employed he is.

They'll also obviously have access to your GPS at all time so they can hit you with the old "heyyyy I know it's your day off but since you're a block away and obviously just fucking around can you come in for 2 hours or 6?"
