South Korea was fun to visit. They have a good tourism ministry over there, and wandering into non tourist areas was interesting too, there was a grittiness to the place. I did feel how conformist society it’s society was even during the few weeks I was there, everyone was wearing very similar clothes, I saw a good bit of elders in poverty too, begging quietly on the subway and hauling trash. Even the small convenience stores there are so much better than the US, they really do have a higher quality of food for the most part. Good taste in art and material culture.
