How much longer do you think the buffoonery of clown world can last before civilization folds in on itself? Everyone is bankrupt, nobody but boomers can afford anything, everyone is sick all the time, everyone is depressed, nobody is having children, social connections are disappearing as everyone wants to spend as little time in the real world as possible. Society isn't sustainable. If you had 40 years left before retirement, I'd say go get a degree in electrical engineering, and become a high-end electrician (something which will never not be in demand, really). However, by the time you do all of that, society will be in the middle of a total collapse, making the entire affair pointless.

Stockpiles arms and resources with practical or intrinsic value, and enjoy what is left of the "easy" times while things like food are still abundant. Become a NEET and get on any government benefits which are available to you, while being as much of a burden on the system as it's possible to be. I don't see much point in doing anything else.

Use the $70k for real estate, bootstrapping a business or securing a business loan, or living on while you develop some sort of income doing something you can find remotely worthwhile or at least tolerable, or maybe trade school. At this point, I would write off a degree. You could also just join the military and get a 30 year career easy.

But these are the only good uses for that money.
