One of the biggest social problems we face today is the disappearance or shrinking of spaces where people can meet socially.

For myself, I moved to a smaller community and got a job in the service industry. I know almost all my customers and eventually landed a girlfriend just by being present in the community.

Put yourself in places that can get you approached, or can lead to you approaching others.

Make a profile on dating apps, be fit, wear presentable clothes that display your own style, have an actually skill/hobby so that you’re not just a dude that goes to work. Goes home. Plays vidya. These people are boring, because they themselves are bored.

Allow yourself to be vulnerable. It’s a vulnerable position to essentially advertise “yourself” to another person and then make the decision to reject or accept you. Be it in dating, in making a friend, or even in just passing the time through conversation. Accept that you’re vulnerable, develop the skin needed to handle rejection, move on and keep trying.

It’s all easier said than done, but if you’re actively trying it gets easier through experience.

Or do nothing, be fat and ugly, cry about it on the internet. The world goes on
