Bars, clubs, lounges, and other similar types of social/entertainment venues were never 24/7 in the past, there was always a last call and then after that you had to go to someone's house or other private location for an after party.

Most of it is goyslop trash for mindless consooming, but that has literally always been true for 99.9% of popular movies and tv shows and music.
But people are still consooming it, talking about it with their friends, sharing it with other people, and all of that. (You) might not be, but that doesn't mean everyone else is also completely disconnected too.
