Last numbers I saw were a hell of a lot more than 1 billion in tariff revenue.
Based on the trends with the countries currently being tariffed, us consumer pays 10% of the tariff price with the rest being subsidized by the rest of the world
We'll see how that works, but only Jews freak out about a 15% tariff on $20 valued Nike shoes. They're only worth 20 bucks when they're imported, then they are assembled with boxes and finished goods making their value 200.

Literally only porkie cares

He’s right about that, but it’s a good thing. These companies are way overvalued, the price of buying stocks in terms of P/E ratio is out of control. With no tariffs, companies passed the increased profits on to the stock market. With tariffs, companies pass the increased cost on to the consumer.

Reshoring manufacturing will hurt share prices, but they need to be hurt because it’s a fucking bubble that needs to be deflated rather than left to pop on its own.

He's right but the market won't actually correct (crash) for another 15 months or so. But yes, we're in the middle of a mania where everyone is speculating on stocks/crypto, trading short term options etc, trying to maintain their lifestyle, so when the music stops it's going to be cataclysmic. Now is a good time to short homebuilder stocks (long dated puts), same goes for banks, just ensure your expiration is a long way out because it will take time and no one knows exactly when it will all come crashing down.

>on the brink of
Dude, we have been in a DEPRESSION since 2008 and have only ever sunk deeper. The only reason people think that the Great Depression was worse than now is because it was a long time ago and there weren’t state benefits to keep the poor satiated back then. If welfare stopped over half of the country would starve to death. Just look at the average wage vs cost of goods/housing then vs now. Look at the rates of people in full time jobs then vs now. Look at literally any metric and people were better off in the depression than today. We are living through the WORST economic times in western history and being told to fear a “recession” as if we aren’t living in one.

It's actually going to be worse, we're heading for Stagflation. Inflation + "lower growth", meaning mainstreet is about to get it's ass fisted. Shit was wild and I don't want to miss out, but something tells me not playing at all is why I don't worship money and I'm not bald and my dick still works. lmao hurry up and crash already so everyone is exactly like me

A lot of countries are self sustaining and lots of nations have diversified away from the dollar including GREATEST ALLY

We're no longer in the
>If America crashes, the world crashes
era
That was like pre 2010
Both China, Russia, and most of the middle east and half of Asia can now self sustain without the need to be dependent on Dollar powers
Even Brazil can survive

Who cannot survive are the dumb fucking golems who followed Americans into the suicide noose known as quantitative easing
So Eu golems, Jap/korea golems, and nearby Spic golems will Ack themselves when America does

The Economy has been fugazi for a while
Everyone knows it's bullshit, but they continue to go along with it because they know the consequences of it might worse
But when the reality of it is on par with the consequences, what does it matter if it crashes?

Trump is strategically building up new trade relations with the smaller Asian nations for a very specific purpose. He knows the only reason China has gotten so powerful is because we allowed it. So he's doing that with the smaller countries over there in order to cut the Chinks out of the market and back down to size. If it works you'll be thanking him for it in the future.

It's not just the US that has a big ass problem, every country in the Western system is absolutely fucked and it gets really scary when you consider that economies haven't officially even tanked yet.
When the markets finally pop, we're going to see +30% unemployment in every single nation in the West.
That's the point where people are going to start getting violent as there aren't enough resources to keep the lavish welfare system going.
It's even funnier when you think about what has been running the economies so far, printed money.
They can't print their way out of the next drop either due to inflation, so what's the answer to resurrect the Western economies? There isn't one.
This is going to be a wild ride as half of the planet becomes Japan 2.0 with +20 years of stagnating economies.

This upcoming fall is why they want to bring in the totalitarian online ID control system right now.
The higher ups know they're increasingly in danger and they want to tag every threat to try and protect themselves from any repercussions.

Nice digits, but the first couple of decades are going to be spent scooping up dead bodies and fighting off the paramilitary feifdoms that will inevitably pop up. And that's if nobody launches an opportunistic nuke or two during the chaos... What really needs to happen is a change in currency. Seperate classes of money and give each class checks and balances. Funbucks, Workbucks and Busybucks. It's the only way to put a check on the power dynamics of money but every time I mention it, the thread shuts down or is spammed with crypto talk. We can just say every $5 is a workbuck, every $10 $20 $50 is a busybuck and $1s and $100s are funbucks. Talking about this idea makes the CIA sweat lol whered all those funbucks come from lmao

In a way, it's like a perpetual motion device. Somehow tariffs are going to make gajillions of dollars... while they suppress domestic manufacturing and consumption, which will consequently hurt tax receipts and growth.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of the role of tariffs in a developing economy. Tariffs do not generate net revenue; they promote, combined with industrial policy, the development of domestic industries. Many, many countries have used this to develop, despite established foreign industries having much greater efficiency.

The Trump regime doesn't have industrial policy, so tariffs have become simply another tool for manipulating the colonies of GAE, and it will fail horribly, because these colonies have other alternatives.

That's exactly what they did idiot.
Historically until this point, two consecutive quarters of negative growth has been the standard definition of a recession in economics, government and the media.
It has been a widely accepted standard for it. This time around they refused to admit it even though the data was clear.
So yes it was fucking redefined, as every other administration would have declared a recession with that data.

>>512227409

Yes it's way worse than what they tell. They have a myriad of ways cooking the books to get the current bullshit data. True unemployment is staggering at the moment.
However when they officially have to start reporting double digit unemployment numbers, that's when shit has really gotten bad and we'll absolutely get there.

You’re only one step removed from the idiots that say “why worry about food it comes from the grocery story, why worry about electricity it comes from the plug.”

80% of the USSR was Russia SSR which never “broke up” and was a communist system even with selling off industry to oligarchs.
Bread was a utility function of their economy and they were mostly racial homogenous in their core territory.

America is historically unprecedented. Debt, just in time supply chain, global pyramid scheme cost of human capital and assets, racial diversity, social and family dysfunction papered over by unsustainable unprecedented wealth.

Anyone using their brain and asking questions for two seconds can see how the US could collapse with millions dead. Once price levels create conditions where labor cost requirements fail to provide a way to make a living, people will drop out. There’s a cascade effect.
The government will need time to build a Soviet style utility food system.
Russia had guaranteed public housing. How is America supposed to handle housing after it’s unaffordable for 50% but prices can’t be lowered without crashing the financial structure?
Outside of established price levels, there’s no mode of economic organization for the American real economy. If the asset price levels become unsustainable how will the real economy even function? To whom will supplies be sent? How will labor be compensated?
You’ve got to be a total dumbass

You still can't tell me how the US would organize the delivery of food to a 50% unemployed population with a sudden collapse of the logistics supply chain.

You just haven't thought this through at all. You're playing the shitty geopolitical wizard who compares vaguely parallel moments of history and looks at macroeconomic and strategic reserve quantities alone.

>theyre homeless because of drugs not the other way around
Boomers love saying this shit while charging $1200/mo to rent out a studio apartment and demanding people work for $15/hr or less.
You have built out a narrative that the homeless people you see with your own eyes are the result of drugs, and you think everyone else is scraping by thanks to roomates and e-bikes.
You know how I know you're a yuppie investor?

Trump is selling the strategic gold reserves off to keep the yield curve positive.
No one wants to buy treasury bonds.

People need to understand true economic collapse. Traders will trade as if an economy has long term value so long as short term paper trades at a profit. The second that stops, they dump the asset and the long term valuation collapses to the floor. This happened in Argentina.

Once America has nothing to sell off to back the nominal value of bonds, the US treasury system will collapse and the government will fail to be able to pay its obligations. Immediate massive crash of unprecedented proportions.

So... they'll just print the money. They'll need a Congressional bill to do it, but they'll pass it.
Any predictions on what they'll call literal money printing?

I'm going with: "contingent budget reconciliation operations"

As if a dual income zoomer couple living in a parents basement and/or the secondhand car, doing gig work in the evenings, with no prospect of ever owning a home is somehow a success story and proof the economy is functional to these boomers.

These fuckers who say move in with more roommates and ride e-scooters are the same assholes who insist America is richer than it has ever been and is doing infinitely better than the rest of the world.

What prevented it from being as bad was they didn't draw back credit, but instead flooded the market strategically with credit.
Business receives credit, business hires you, you pay rent. That's how you avoid a depression. No actual value has to be created.

Now, we have 100% inflation since 2000, with 500% inflation in housing costs. None of it can be unwound without massive wealth destruction and upheaval. So they want people to just fucking move 20 people in a home or die of fentanyl or something.

Because they listen to what the jew in the tv says. Critical personal thinking is dead and in the grave. If you ask an NPC on the street why things are bad they just parrot the TV. "Trump's fault!" And if you ask what in particular they'll just mumble "Tariffs" with no understanding of anything.

Nigger, I'm not talking about the costs of food, I'm talking about how the fuck you supply food when there's a massive collapse of the labor force from social breakdown.
You just do not get this. You can't see more than 1-2 moves ahead on the chessboard.

It's the Laffer Curve dipshit.
People are adjusting custom and habit to unsustainable costs of living. More and more family members are tolerating deadbeat relatives living in their basement due to an acknowledged cost of living national crisis.
Lack of widespread homelessness is not evidence that people are affording their housing right now.

There is demand though, everyone is bitching about prices, wanting job opportunities that aren't available to them, wanting to start families and buy housing but are priced out. It's all there. the problem is the wealthy are choking themselves with their own greed. They're the ones who don't want to pay and play by market forces. Let them choke until their own society rings their necks for real
