No. The point is to keep them neutral and make sure no foreign troops or equipment are ever hosted there under any pretense. Until these guarantees are secured the war will continue.
You can see for yourself, Ukrainian negotiation group was close to forming a proper agreement on the matter back in 2022, but then the Ukrainian government asked for advice of the western political groups and those "advised" that Russia gets too good of a deal out of this, so war is preferable.

What do you suppose is going to happen when Russia takes Kiev? NATO has already committed its resources to the war. There isn't going to be another 200k strong army popping out of the ground in Western Ukraine.

I find it strange that the E.U. didn't want (and STILL don't want) Ukraine until Russia wanted Ukraine. They had complete control of the place between like 2008-2012 and 2014-the present day, and no progress was made, or had or has been made, toward Ukraine's supposed membership in either of those organizations. The West sees Ukraine as a golem it can use to bleed Russia, nothing more. They'll keep on paying and arming Ukraine to fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian, using their own taxpayers' money to do so, all in the name of...what, exactly?
