Fun fact. Most of those buildings are half if not full on vacant. I've been inside a building that was over 3.5 million square feet, perfect working condition, clean and cared for, but completely vacant. Fully furnished, even live plants (that's why I was there) not a single person. A whole engineering team driving around on trikes, zero occupancy.
I was in a building in a downtown, and it was 30 stories tall. From floor 1-15 was a hotel, 16-30 totally vacant. Absolutely perfectly preserved 1970's motif, shag carpet and all.
Most penthouse offices are vacant. (But they still have plants) but no people.
