Boycotting didnโ€™t help them last time. Republicans still won. Beside itโ€™s not showing up to cast their votes.

What's the argument for allowing this? I say fuck the democrats, they'll use every tool at their disposal, so I'm glad to see some republicans fighting for something for once. However, I'm looking at the data, and I see that there are 88 Rep to 62 Dem house seats. Comparing that ratio to the 2024 election(~6,375,000 Trump to ~4,806,000 Kamala), the house seats are pretty much in line with that representation. If anything, the Dems are shy a few seats.

I did however see an argument about it being a strong red state, so there shouldn't be that much representation, blah blah blah. Please help a midwit understand this.

Allowing what? The party in charge to redistrict as they see fit? See: California, Washington, Illinois, New York.

lol these fucking retards fell for such an obvious trap they deserve what's coming to them. can't wait to get the OK to go round them up, even though i'm in lotto enforcement we were told friday that our unit was going to Massachusetts to arrest the ones who fled to boston once the district court paxton will file in okays the extradition warrants. lol they are even using game wardens on some extradition teams going to illinois since there are so few Tx Rangers/DPS fugitive task force officers. Exciting times boys! also it's cool i get to do something besides force safes to be open @ gunpoint for jeets that fail to pay their lotto vendor fee's

not only that, if they accept any money to help defray the costs associated with the fines they will be arrested for felony bribery

>Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton have stated that accepting funds to pay these fines constitutes a violation of bribery laws. Abbott has said that he would use his "full extradition authority to demand the return to Texas of any potential out-of-state felons,".

>Abbott has directed that lawmakers who solicit or accept such funds will have committed felonies, citing the Texas Penal Code ยง 36.02,.

lol im not a fan of abbot or paxton but i do support this action...otherwise they are both as cooked as it comes, just look up their county apprasial data for property owned lmfao, they are literally classified as farmers for tax purposes and sign affidavits saying they spend 50+% of their time farming...same for every single elected official in every single county in texas

ag exemption for land is srs bsns in Texas.
It gives significantly lower property taxes, and if you convert land to non-ag, you owe the tax difference for the previous five years.
>for tax purposes
remember, Texas has no income tax, so "tax purposes" means property tax

the land is never converted tho, the whole purpose is to keep it in the family. if it is actually subdivided/sold then the new owner (which is normally of some familial or business relation) just does the same shit with ag exemptions.

Interestingly it looks like a relatively recent phenomena, or wasn't documented in the past. Oregon gets the most, Texas number two, it looks like walkouts emerge largely in purple states with high quorum requirements.

lol and whats even worse is they claim NAP crop insurance when it floods even though they aren't even farmers...even though i work for the state, and I fucking love Texas it still grinds my fucking gears. if their property was properly taxed then the apprasial district wouldn't try to fuck me lube free every year through raising my properties valuation

A number of states have ag exemption covenants. Here if you are using the property for bona fide ag purposes OR conservation you get a substantial discount on property taxes. Kek you dont have to be a "farmer".

It isnt catch-free though. You cannot subdivide the property or develop it for ten years or you face hefty penalties. The gist is you cant develop it for ten years and you get a break on taxes.
