Most indians have devolved back into a race closely resembling their aboriginal ancestors, much further away genetically from their Indo-Aryan ancestors than modern Persians are. Turks are much, much closer to Italians than they are to Indians. Afghans are pretty close to North Indians though.

Modern day Turks are the dalit-class of the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman elite warriors were Greek and Slavic Muslims.
