At my old job the stupid fucking Africans kept breaking every single one of our microwaves. It was a shitty factory called Subcom and all they did was hire legit retarded Africans from Portland, ME to do the grunt work and they would put metal in the microwave almost every day. The "it's all so tiresome" meme is so accurate. Until you have to work with a bunch of off the boat Africans, you'll never understand. I'm so glad I quit that job.

I got one of these and it's a combo microwave. They have metal coils at the top that can operate like a boiler or convection baker. I have one that has a huge fan so they say it's an "air fryer combo microwave".

It's fucking great. I got an oven but this heats up way faster. The combination function is kind of hit or miss because it switches from coil bake to microwave every 30 seconds. It's what Subway uses to toast.

Metal is actually okay in a microwave on its own, it's only a problem if it touches another piece of metal and arcs. I used to leave my spoon in the bowl when warming stuff up.

Original glass plate was broken. Instead of searching for replacement (difficult, but can find) apparently they decided that this metal contraption is more "fool proof", that another retard instead of breaking, will just bend it. And that is way easier to fix than broken glass.
