I'm a doctor. I've never performed a circumcision, and when parents ask for my thoughts on their child being circumcised, I tell them that unless it's medically necessary, I advise against them doing it. Thus far, no parents who have asked have gone through with the circumcision to my knowledge. Most men in Canada aren't circumcised either.

I personally think it's a cruel practice when it's done without consent and justification, and it should be a decision made by the person when they are at the age where they can legally make those decisions.
